The Casa is situated in Tijola, in the 'campo' (countryside), about 5 kms from Orgiva, the market centre of the Western Alpujarras. The local town has an impressive Baroque church and a selection of banks, internet cafes, interesting shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. There is very much an 'alternative' feel here, with many health treatments such as massage, aromatherapy, reiki, iridology etc available. A colourful market draws many to the town every Thursday. The Alpujarras are renowned for their oustanding natural beauty, their flora and fauna. Skiing and snowboarding are about a 90 min drive away while golf and the coast are about a 40min dive. For the more tranquil moments visit the Buddhist monastery of Osel Ling or try the spa waters and assortment of treatments at nearby Lanjaron. A car is essential if you wish to maximise the diversity of your Alpujarran holiday. 

The double fronted casa offers high quality 3bed/2bathroom accommodation, combining tradional Alpujarran features with modern comfort and facilities.
Accommodation: open/plan fully equipped traditional Alpujarran kitchen (fridge, full size cooker, washing machine, microwave etc.); living/dining area with woodburner for those cooler nights, CD/MP3 player, TV and DVD player with selection of books, games and DVDs and double bedsettee. Double doors lead onto a large outdoor terrace, where there is a gas barbeque and dining area, surrounded by perfumed planting and beautiful vistas that all add to the joy of Spanish style alfresco living. The family bathroom is off the living area and includes a shower. The bedrooms are located together at the other end of the property. The double bedroom has access to its' own intimate private patio area, a peaceful hideaway from others! There are a further two single bedrooms, one with stained glass window. All bedrooms are equipped with electric fans and fitted with romantic mosquito curtaining. There is also a travel cot available for use. The shower room has a corner shower, WC, Alpujarran washbasin and a stained glass window based on Picasso's 'Bird of Peace'.

Outdoor living: is amply catered for with a choice of seating around the beautifully landscaped gardens. The private filtered pool has a gentle incline in depth and is for your own personal use. It is enclosed and gated, for child safety. The surrounding walled and paved area has plentiful seating enabling you to lounge in the sun or relax in the shade of the old gnarled olive trees and palm, whilst soaking up the peace and tranquility and panoramic mountain views. Table and chairs are also positioned to enhance your poolside living. Daily pool maintenance is undertaken by the owners who live nearby, who are able to offer advice and local information if required.

The finca comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 single and 1 cots. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the living area. This gives room for up to 5 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The finca has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use.

The finca has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The finca is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

cris says: "Wow. We had a fantastic time here, the house was lovely and the pool was STUNNING!! There are lovely gardens too, and the pool was a perfect size for our 3 children 10,8 and 4. The owners are on hand if you need them but it was a lovely private place to relax. Orgiva was a nice small town with some good places to eat, but there were also some good day trips an hour or so away to be had-(kids loved the waterpark). We had a great holiday here..... "
