The K Club has two Arnold Palmer designed 18 hole par 72 championship golf courses. The Palmer Course and Smurfit Course are considered two of Ireland’s finest championship courses and have been designed to offer completely different experiences and challenges for golfers of all abilities. The Palmer course hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup and the Smurfit course hosts the Smurfit European Open each year.

The Palmer Course
If ever a golf course reflected the personality of its architect, it is surely this Arnold Palmer designed course. It may seem odd to describe a golf course as charismatic and cavalier but from the instant you arrive at the first tee, you are enveloped by a unique atmosphere. The Palmer Course is, quite simply, one of Europe’s most spectacular courses. It charms, it entices and invariably, brings out the very best in your game. It is unlikely that you will be asked to tackle the course from the championship tees, but this
should in no way diminish the excitement of pitting your wits against Arnold Palmer, for, in a sense, this is precisely what you are about to do.

The Smurfit Course
The Smurfit Course at The K Club has already been described as probably the greatest inland Golf Course to be developed in Ireland. The best way to describe the Smurfit Course at The K Club is that of an inland links. However, its true attributes do not stop there. The Course has many dramatic landscapes with dune type mounding throughout. Coupled with this point, some fourteen acres of
water have been worked into the design especially through the final phase of Hole No’s: 13 to 18. A watery grave awaits many a golfer on the home stretch.
 

The luxurious K Spa has world class facilities including ten designated suites and rooms that offer an extensive range of holistic natural treatments and therapies.

K Spa is the ideal venue for a workout in the spacious fully equipped gymnasium with state of the art life-fitness equipment including treadmills, rowers, static bikes, cardio machines, free weights, strength machines and high tech audiovisual equipment. The Pilates and Yoga Studio hosts numerous stimulating group classes. K Spa’s personal trainers are at hand to ease you into an exercise routine and put together a programme tailored to your level of fitness and specific requirements.

The residences, of the Tyrconnell design, are part of the prestigious Ladycastle development, situated on the Smurfit course. The residences themselves are located alongside the Smurfit course and are only a short walk from the main hotel. Ladycastle was completed in 2006 and it is considered to be a prime location at The K Club. The house comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 1 single and 2 cots, 4 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 7 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The house has 4 bathrooms and 5 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The house has television and home cinema with dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The house is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a garden, a patio area. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage.

Within easy reach of the house you will find shopping areas.

"just a very brief note to thank you very much indeed for making all the necessary arrangements for us to enjoy a brief stay at the K Club.

We had the most magnificent time and despite the very cold spell at home it was warm enough to play golf in ireland in short sleeved shirts!

The house exceeded our every expectation; needless to say we'll back in touch soon to arrange another visit next year!"
