Elia House is a luxury, detached, 4 bedroom, 180 square metre
villa. Situated in a beautiful rural village on the outskirts of Paphos. Elia
House is lavishly furnished to the highest standards with its own large private
Roman style swimming pool.

The ground floor open plan comprises of a fitted kitchen with
a breakfast bar, dining area, study and lounge with patio doors opening onto
the swimming pool area. A cloakroom and WC with basin is also located on the
ground floor.

A polished marble staircase leads to the first floor which
has a master bedroom with en suite and a double bedroom, both with patio doors
which open onto a balcony overlooking the pool. Two twin bedrooms and a bathroom
complete the first floor.

Elia House is situated by the charming village of Mandria, in a quiet rural
area right beside the sea, just 5 minutes from Paphos airport.

Two delightful, busy tavernas nearby provide a great atmosphere in which you
can enjoy the delicious Cypriot cuisine.

As a car is essential for those who want to get out and about, we have negotiated
special rates with a very reliable rental dealer who has agreed to give the
cheapest rates on the island to our guests. We will handle all the arrangements
for you and meet you at the airport with your rental car.

ordered to make self-catering easy!

ELIA HOUSE - Ground Floor

ENTRANCE

The porch opens into the entrance hall which leads into the open living area.
The entrance is complete with shoe rack and coat stand. The cloakrooom on the
left with WC, washbasin and mirror, is tastefully decorated in Mediterrean
blue and stone tiles.

OPEN PLAN LIVING AREA

The open plan ground floor (approximately 6.5 x 11 meters) contains a kitchen,
breakfast bar, dining area, lounge and study.

The whole ground floor has a Mediterrean feel with a terracota colour tiled
floor, copper curtains framing beige roller blinds on each window. The pictures
on the walls depict Cypriot scenes in copper and Mediterranean blue, adding
to the restful, soothing atmosphere.

KITCHEN

The Gruppo Del Tongo Italian kitchen fittings contrast nicely with the dark,
high polish granite work surfaces.

The solid wood, glass top, dining table seats 8 persons

A cream coloured, soft-leather suite comprising a three seater, two seater
and armchair clustered round the Mediterranean blue rug makes it easy to
relax in front of the 27-inch TV with DVD player. A selection of favourite movies
is available.

The Grecian white marble fireplace with rocking chair makes an ideal spot
for relaxing at any time. For the cooler evenings during the winter months
there is also the gas-fired open coal basket for extra warmth.

A bed settee completes the living area should extra sleeping space be needed.

A study recess just off the living room complete with writing/computer
desk provides a place for you to catch up on correspondence.

 

The glass brick feature in the stairwell provides a light, airy feel to the wide
Grecian white marble stairway which leads to a spacious landing encircled by
4 bedrooms and a bathroom.

Each bedroom is fitted with an air-conditioner which can be switched on to
heating in the cooler months.

The Roman steps are an attractive feature of the 8 x 4 meter swimming pool,
set off by authentic Cypriot earthenware pottery
in the pool area. A shower by the swimming pool is provided for your convenience.

For your health a high standard of hygiene is assured throughout the
year by a professional cleaning service which maintains the pool twice a week,
on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

Four pool lights, one located on each corner of
the pool, ensures adequate lighting at night. Discreet lighting in the swimming
pool itself creates a very relaxing atmosphere during the evening hours.

I personally will take interest in your stay and ensure you go home with wonderful memories. My father who is a professional Cypriot chef is available on request if you would like to enjoy a bar-b-que by the pool one evening and get some great cooking tips at the same time! Additionally, two delightful, busy tavernas within walking distance provide a great atmosphere in which you can enjoy the local cuisine.

The villa comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 2 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the Living room. This gives room for up to 9 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

andrea says: "eight of us went to cyprus on may 28 2008 for one week. upon arrival at the airport we were met my savvas with the hire car which joulietta had helped us to arrange. he then drove us to elia house villa where we were welcomed by joulietta and her father dimitrious as if we were all old friends. we were given a thorough tour of the villa and instructions on where to go for food shopping next day. there was a welcome pack for us already there and we had a much needed cup of tea when we got settled in. all the rooms in the villa met and exceeded our expectations and the pool/garden area was beauiful (we landed at night so the garden and pool were lit and so welcoming our 6year old nephew got in straight away and stayed there until almost 2a.m. Joulietta had thought of everything in terms of layout, local information, equipment etc. there was nothing to fault about our stay or the hospitality we were shown whilst staying in mandria. myself and my fiance were married whilst we were in cyprus and joulietta and dimitriou came to the villa on the evening of our wedding day and prepared and cooked a bbq for us all which was a present from my brother in law and his girlfriend. the food was absolutey gorgeous and was our opportunity to sample cypriot cuisine - you must try the tzatziki with pita and the lamb in red wine. all in all, everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed our stay at elia house and we have found it hard to settle back in to a life without our own pool and all day sunshine. thankyou joulietta for looking after us all so well. we hope to see you again some time in the future.
