Welcome to our apartment in Paphos on the beautiful island of Cyprus. Following a number of wonderful holidays it occurred to us that if we purchased a property of our own we could spend even more time enjoying all that the island has to offer.

What has Cyprus to offer? Where do we begin …. the island has typically 340 days of sunshine; beautifully clear sea glistening in the sun; centuries of history; reasonably priced food and wine (always an important part of a holiday). Perhaps you are looking for an active holiday in which case you will be able to enjoy golf, diving, snorkelling, sailing, swimming and water sports. Of course we must not forget the night life available in the centre of Kato Paphos.
 

Our first floor apartment has two large, air conditioned bedrooms. Each bedroom comprises two single beds, dressing table with stool, bedside table and ample built in storage space. For your convenience we have provided a hair drier in each bedroom.

The living area has been arranged for your comfort with two large settees, coffee table and a four seater dining table. There is a television and dvd player and a selection of novels for you to while away your time whilst soaking up the sunshine. The large covered balcony, overlooking the landscaped gardens, communal pool and toddlers pool, has a large patio table and chairs. There is an overhead fan to keep you comfortable whilst you enjoy an alfresco meal in the warmth of a Cyprus evening.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and small counter top dishwasher. There is also an iron and ironing board.

The bathroom comprises WC, bath/shower and wash hand basin with vanity unit.

All linen and towels (including beach) are provided. We have also provided loungers and umbrellas for the poolside.

If you are driving there is ample parking space. If you decide to hire a car upon arrival there are many car hire companies located in Paphos itself. Cars can be hired for just a day should you wish.

The apartment is ideally located within 15 minutes walking distance of the seafront. Another 10 minutes or so will bring you down to the delightful harbour area with its ancient castle and many restaurants offering an assortment of dishes including of course the traditional Cyprus meze.


 

Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and encompasses not only wonderful beaches with crystal clear water but also citrus and olive groves, pine forests and mountains. Spring is a beautiful time with sweet scented blossoms and carpets of wild flowers. The island enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate experiencing long summers. Autumn arrives with still excellent temperatures and abundant sunshine. Today Cyprus offers a comfortable mix of history and a modern way of life.

A drive to the Troodos Mountains with its stunning scenery is highly recommended. Perhaps you will find time for a trip to the famous Cedar Valley. With a bit of luck you may come across the elusive moufflon – this Cypriot species of wild sheep is both extremely rare and shy. Visit the wonderful Kykkos Monastery and the tomb of Archbishop Makarios.

The Pafos region offers something for everyone; sunbathing, swimming in the clear blue waters, leisure, culture and activity.

Within 15 minutes walking distance of the apartment you will reach the sea front from where you can take a gentle stroll down to the historic harbour area. Here you will find the ancient castle and a World Heritage Archaeological Site. There are many restaurants fronting the harbour where you can sit and watch the world go by. Perhaps you would like to take advantage of one of the many boat trips on offer.

Ktima is the 'old town’. Here you will find both old and new mixed in a way that offers the charm of a Cypriot town.

For those of a more active nature Pafos offers water sports, mini golf, water parks and for the young (and not so young) go-karting. We must not forget to mention the night life to be found in Bar Street.

There are three top class 18-hole golf courses within easy driving distance.

Of course hiring a car is the best way of exploring the real Cyprus and visiting the many villages in the hills where you will enjoy the famous Cypriot hospitality at the local tavernas. Visit the Akamas Peninsular (with a number of well marked nature trails); the small towns of Latchi and Polis. Enjoy a day at Coral Bay; visit the tiny harbour of Agios Georgios. Explore the ancient amphitheatre site at Kourion and the knights castle at Kolossi. All, and more, within easy reach of our apartment in Kato Paphos which is one very good reason that we love the area so much.

There is just not enough space here to write all that we would like to add about Paphos and the enchanting island of Cyprus.

What do you want from your holiday? We believe that Cyprus is able to offer something for everyone at an affordable price. There is no charge for the sunshine, eating out is easily affordable, the wine cheap and plentiful. There are historical attractions in abundance. The scenery is spectacular with crystal clear sea, stunning mountain scenery, charming traditional villages full of character and of course the well known Cypriot hospitality.

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 2 twin. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable.

There is room for 5 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a garden, a balcony. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The apartment is right beside swimming.

Close to the apartment you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, walking, cycling, horse riding, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find mountain biking, golf, tennis.
