For several years we had been on the look out for a suitable property in Paphos. Ideally we wanted an apartment that was close to all the amenities and tourist attractions but was far enough away for us to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. Hesperides Gardens more than ticked all the boxes The apartment is a penthouse in a quiet area close to all tourist attractions and local town. We have a large veranda where you can sit and enjoy your meals al fresco. There are two large pools for you to enjoy with the largest being 25m by 15m. By the poolside you will find plenty of sun loungers and parasols to shade you from the sun. 

As soon as we saw the location and how quiet it was we knew that it was the one for us. The large pool area was the icing on the cake as we both like a cool dip. In some other properties we had looked at the pool areas were too cramped and the pools were way too small.

What was also of great attraction was that the same developers are going to build a shops and restaurant complex just 5 minutes walk away. This is scheduled to be ready in 2009. Also in front of the main pool, but behind the tall poplar trees that form the boundary of the complex, another developer are to build a complex that is supposed to include a bowling green, health club and a club house.

Within easy walking distance (10 minutes) is a mini market where you can shop for all your essentials and more. For those of you who like a drink now and then the nearest bar is 20 minutes walk away. In fact you are 25 minutes walk away from the center of the bar and restaurant area of Kato Paphos. Walking from the apartment in the other direction you can reach the main street leading you to the local town center in 10 minutes. A further 20 minutes and you will reach the local market.

Although you do not need a car to reach these places, hiring a car should be considered. For instance, although the nearest mini market is only 10 minutes walk away, there is another, bigger supermarket only 5 minutes drive away which is considerably cheaper than the mini market. In addition, it is well worth hiring a car as this will enable you to see the many attractions Paphos and its surrounding areas have to offer. Again as an example you can be in Polis and Latcji within 45 minutes, Coral Bay in about 20 minutes, the Waterpark in 10 minutes and a beautiful place called Pissouri in about 30 minutes. We got married in Paphos in 2006 and spent our honeymoon in Pissouri so we can confirm that it definitely a place to visit. These are only some of the many places that are worth visiting. The great thing about driving in Cyprus is that the road signs are in English and you drive on the left hand side. If any of our guests require a car we can arrange this option with the local car hire company we use, who also offer a taxi service. Therefore they will pick you up at the airport and deliver your car the next morning. And if you do hire a car there is a covered, allocated parking space provided. 

Pool side shower and underground changing rooms available. A foldaway extra bed is available enabling the apartment to be able to sleep up to five people.

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 5 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a garden, a balcony, panoramic views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The apartment is right beside swimming.

Close to the apartment you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, walking, cycling, a sports center, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a themepark, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find golf.

Bird Park, Football Stadium, Go-Karting, Waterpark, Aquarium, Pissouri, Polis, Latchi, Coral Bay

Trish says: " The Apartment is situated in an ideal position. 20 mins walk in all directions will take you to lots of different bars & restaurants, whatever is your preference you will find within walking distance, or just a couple of £cyp in a taxi. The Apartment itself is beautiful, very modern & spacious, with a large balcony ( many glasses of wine were consumed here ) The Apartment is fully equipped, you dont even need to take socket adaptors, and the air con is a blessing, ( the weather was fabulous in mid oct.) The washing machine & iron were a bonus as well, as we were there for 12 days. Overall we loved the apartment & the location, but an extra bonus was the fabulous pool ( one of two belonging to the apartments ) All I can say to Gill & Frank is thank you for giving me the chance to discover Paphos, I also fell in love with it, and it was the second of, I hope many more times that I will return."
