Hvar Villa in Stari Gard
This large traditional stone villa is located in the oldest part of the oldest town in Croatia. The villa is perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a spacious property with modern facilities that is located in the centre of town. The property has recently been refurbished to a high standard and comprises 4 king-size bedrooms, 1 double bunk room, a large master bathroom with a further shower room.
The property is located in the centre of the historic old town. Stari Grad was originally setlled by the Greeks and then later by the Romans, there are extensive Greek and Roman ruins around the property The property is opposite an old church dating back to the 5th century, which makes it quite easy to find as you can see the spire from far away! The town is primarily residential however the nearby bay is bustling with visitors in the summer months.
Stari Grad has some superb restaurants all located within less than 5 minutes walk including Amtika and Jurin Podrun. There are also more than 10 port side cafes and bars that are open all day right on the waters edge. The house is located less than 300 metres from Stari Grad bay where daily you can watch the fishermen come in with their catch.
A short walk (less than 10 minutes) and you are at the town's most popular swimming spot, there is also a beach bar where you can sip a wide range of cocktails whilst watching the sun set slowly into the water. Stari Grad is a great point from which to explore the other nearby villages (by car) and swimming spots, all of which have a different feel about them - new culinary experiences and truly breathtaking scenery.
Stari Grad is conveniently located just 15 minutes drive from the bustling party of Hvar Town providing you with easy access to fun but allowing a quick exit to a quiet retreat for recovering from those big nights out.

Alexander says: "We stayed in this property for two weeks with 3 families. Accommodation was a little cramped for the 12 of us, but certainly adequate. Locations is excellent for the lovely old town of Stari Grad, but a little walk (with small children) to the beach. The ice-cream shops in the way help though. The property only has one parking space which could be difficult. We had two cars and managed to not get blocked it. Property is nicely furnished and equiped with everything except minor details (like can opener) than can easily be fixed. Couple of bedrooms would benefit from an air conditioner in the height of the summer. Outside area and BBQ are excellent and a great place to relax under the stars. Stari Grad is a lovely quiet town and very relaxing. All details provided were accurate and useful. Neighbours/caretakers downstairs (Roland & Katya) were very helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great holiday."
