Description
Yvonne and Ray offer a warm and friendly welcome to their guests staying at Westaway. We are a non-smoking establishment and offer 4 star rated accommodation.
We are ideally situated in a quiet cul-de-sac leading to Corfe Common and only a 5 minute stroll from the centre of Corfe Castle, a beautiful historic village in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck on the south coast of Dorset.
The accommodation comprises of 3 letting rooms as follows:
North Room - A double ensuite with a Spa bath
South Room - A double ensuite with shower room, which overlooks the rear garden with its large wildlife pond and has outstanding views over the Purbeck Hills
East Room - A twin room with its own private bathroom
The Purbeck Hills and surrounding countryside are famous for their beauty and many varied walks, including the Dorset coastal path which is part of the Jurrassic Coastline and now classified as a World Heritage site.The village of Corfe Castle itself is dominated by the castle ruins which provide breathtaking views across to Poole harbour.Within the village can be found the smallest Town Hall in England, a museum, a model village, four pubs and also a train station which has regular steam train journeys down the valley into Swanage during holiday periods.If the weather is hot and sunny then we also posess some of the best blue flag beaches to be found including Studland, with its uninterrupted 3 mile long sandy beach which includes a designated Naturist area and is part of a National nature reserve.
One of the Isle of Purbeck's greatest assets - the varied, sometimes strange, beauty of the countryside that surrounds it - is the one least known to most guests. It is easily accessible to the walker, with a network of paths that provide easy going for explorers of all ages. What better excuse for yielding to the temptation of sponge pudding and custard than an ensuing 6-mile tramp through the Dorset heathland!
Or for the not so adventurous why not take a leasurly trip on the Swanage Steam Railway or visit one of the many museums and attractions in the area.

Arrival - Please give an estimation of arrival time so that
we can ensure someone is here to greet you.
Departure - To allow time to prepare the room for the following
guests, we would normally ask you to vacate the
room between 10:30 – 11:00.
Please note: For Bank Holiday weekends we normally only accept advance bookings for a minimum of 3 nights and a minimum of 2 nights
at all other times throughout the summer season.
