THE OLD POST HOUSE
This quirky home is arranged over four floors and is situated just off of the seafront in the heart of trendy Kemptown. It is a period corner property with Georgian sash windows. The building has been completely renovated and the decor is funky and modern, with some fantastic original art work.

There are three double bedrooms, one in the basement and two on the top floor, all have lovely bathrooms, two ensuite. The kitchen diner is modern with integrated appliances. The dining table can seat eight and is a great area for socialising or just sitting on the bench seat watching the world go by out of the open window. The lounge is attached to the dining area through an open archway and contains a comfortable three-seater settee and two armchairs, again this area is designed for socialising rather than lounging.

This property is suited for people who enjoy city living and a quality interior. The immediate surrounding area contains a diverse range of delicatessens, restaurants, pubs and shops. When you step out of the front door you can see the sea on your left and straight ahead is a shop and pub-lined walk to the centre of town, which is only 5 mins away.

The property contains a lot of stairs, 5 flights from the basement to the top, which is great for separating rooms but not so good for the knees!!

Overall, the property is great fun, themed to compete with Brightons famous bespoke hotels and positioned in a fantastic location!
 
Parking
As this property is located in the centre of Brighton & Hove it unfortunately does not come with parking. Brighton’s excellent public transport system (see below) allows easy and affordable travel throughout the City and East Sussex. For this reason the majority of guests park in a permit free zone and access their car only when needed.

Pay and display bays around Brighton & Hove are approximately £1 an hour 8am – 8pm.

Resident bays and Pay and display bays are free to park after 6pm or 8pm depending on the zone.

Day passes can be purchased for the majority of car parks from £8 a day, with some car parks offering FREE evening parking. Call Brighton & Hove Parking Information Centre on (01273) 293225.

Permit free zones include: Roads north of Eastern Rd (Kemptown), Marine Parade free bays (1/2 way between Brighton Pier and Marina). Hanover (area of Brighton).

kaj says: "The house is in a great location, close to the sea and only a short walk to the town. It's pretty spacious and having bedrooms on different floors is good. Good number of bathrooms for this many girls! The stereo system is located in a far corner in the kitchen which means you had to play music loud to hear it around the house- as the nieghbours had already asked us not to play music too loud, this was a bit of a down point. The biggest disappointment with the house is the finish is not great and the service from the landlord was not great- we had too few bedsheets and towels and the bed sheets did not fit on some of the beds. There were not enough glasses and cups so we had to have breakfast in 2 sittings. a real shame to spoil a good rental home with just a little more thought and care it could be a great rental. Unfortunelty rental homes of this size are rare in Brighton so I fear the landlord may not go that extra mile to improve things as there are sure to be many people wanting the place anyway. A good tip if you do get this place- order your groceries via an online supermarket. and don't forget the bin bags!"
