La Capanna is part of a small farm complex consisting of farm house and renovated barn, the barn 'La Capanna' has a large double bedroom, open plan kitchen/livingroom with double and single sofa bed, modern bathroom, satelilite tv, outside eating place, garden, and use of old wood fired pizza oven. The farm has a large swimming pool (22mx8m) a rather ancient tennis court, functional however, barbeque, lots of land, olive grove, orchard and woods and spectacular veiws of Chianti hills and mountains, guests are welcome to use our farm produce, olive oil, vegetables fruit, poultry produce and local wine. The farm is within easy walking distance of trattorie, pizzerie and shops. There are many historical villages, churches and lovely countryside nearby. There are also 'Outlets' selling Gucci, Armani, Prada produce within easy driving distance. Florence, Arezzo and Siena can be easily reached by car or train, and for longer visits to Florence we can usualy provide accomadiation. It is a good idea to have car, but there is public transport, though not frequent, the station is a 15 minute drive away. 

 

 

The pool is private to the property, during the midsummer period we have guests in the farmhouse who use the pool, however it is otherwise used exclusively by the guests in the capanna and occasionaly by the owners. The pool and surrounding area are very large.

The cottage comprises 1 bedrooms in total; 1 double and 1 cots. The property also has 2 single sofa beds, 1 double sofa bed. This gives room for up to 5 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cottage has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The cottage has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this cottage.

The cottage is in a very quiet area. It has a private swimming pool, access to a shared swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, a balcony, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque, a tennis court. If you are driving there is private parking.

The cottage is right beside swimming, walking, cycling, tennis.

Close to the cottage you will find mountain biking, horse riding, historic sites, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find climbing, golf, a museum, a zoo, a theatre/cinema.

When booking on the internet you always "take a gamble" - but the gamble payed off. We are somtimes sceptical when you read such a great reviews on the internet, but this one is the truth !! We were blessed with a lovely villa / farmhouse and a fantastic couple in Joanna & Piero who own the property. From the very first hour they were so nice and helpful, we felt at home immediately !
