Formerly the local Priests Villa, Tan-Neputi (The Nephew) is a vast converted mill house on two floors. The lower ground floor has 2 indoor swimming pools. The bigger one is heated in winter. The bedrooms are set around the inner courtyard. The upper floors are accessed either externally by a stone staircase rising up to an open terrace and to the roof from the lower courtyard or a separate internal staircase. You have two accesses to the farmhouse from the street. The main door takes you into a nice relaxing sitting room area with a stone spiral stairs which takes you to one of the indoor pool. The other door takes you to the lower internal large courtyard which one can make a BBQ and leads you to the other indoor pool which is heated in winter, and then there is a spiral stairs which leads you to the kitchen/dining/living room with TV.

Gharb is a traditional Gozan village just a few kilometers beyond the Islands Capital, Victoria. The house is located in a quiet alley just 200 meters from the church and is surrounded by many other similar houses of character dating back some 400 years and more. The village is set in a quiet rural area yet is just 10 minutes from some of the finest beaches and bays on the island and with many country walks available immediately from the villa. The village itself has just one supermarket, one mini market and one restaurant but there is, for some strange reason a Scottish Rangers Bar close to the church. For all other services and a wide choice of restaurants head for Victoria just ten minutes drive by car or bus. The local natives are very friendly and will extend a warm welcome to all visitors and English is widely spoken.

In the internal yard there is a Bar-be-que. On the seconf floor there is an open terrace for sunbathing.

The farm house comprises 10 bedrooms in total; 4 double, 4 twin, 2 single and 1 cots, 4 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 18 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The farm house has 6 bathrooms and 6 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the farm house cool.

The farm house has television. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls.

There is room for 15 in the living room and 15 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this farm house.

The farm house is in a very quiet area. It has a private swimming pool, a patio area, a balcony, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The farm house is right beside walking, cycling, a food shop.

Close to the farm house you will find a beach, swimming, water skiing, boat hire, fishing, climbing, mountain biking, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, shopping areas, a restaurant.

Within easy reach of the farm house you will find sailing, wind surfing, horse riding, a sports center, a theatre/cinema, a themepark.

Marie says: "The property is beautiful and is great value if you have a large party of people as we did. Gharb is an extremely quiet yet friendly place within easy access of many of the sites on Gozo. However, the property needs updating the fridge, washing machine, sofas etc are worn out. The most disappointing aspect was how dirty the property was - it had not been cleaned. The fridge was sticky, tables were dirty and sticky, the pool area had other peoples hair within it and my bathroom was mouldy and again had not been cleaned. If you go, make sure you demand the property is cleaned - I did ask when I was there and still it was not done! Order cabs through a licenced cab agency - do not order through the owner as she or the maid drives so you are not insured or safe!"

Its not trough that the fridge, washing machine and sofa are worn out. People do not take care of them when they are using them. They are only 2 years old. Its not true that they had called me to say that the property is dirty. I had called them around 4 times in the week that they had stayed and they had never complained about anything to me. When they order a van to take them from airport to Gozo it was from a licensed agency. Its not fair that you had said nothing to us when you where here and now when you are back at home you write anything that you want and above all its not true.
