Casa Fargneto - Beuatiful house above Lake Trasimeno
A superb property set above Lake Trasimeno near the picturesque village of Castel Rigone. This spacious home has wonderful living areas as well as stunning views.There are five bedrooms, which can accomodate 10people, a communal upstairs area and a spacious downstairs lounge and library area. There is a bathroom and shower room as well as a fully equipped kitchen. Washing facilities are also provided. A spacious garden and outdoor patio area are wonderful for evening dinners.

There is a wonderful open air swimming pool on the road to Preggio. It costs 6.50 per day but you can buy a carnet of 10 tickets for 50 euros. After 3.00 pm. on any given day the adult entry fee reduces to 4 euros - it's 4 euros at any time, any day for children aged 5 to 16. The restaurant over the road from the pool (La Pineda) serves very basic but cheap and tasty fare - chips, pasta and a range of sandwiches. Beer, wine and soft drinks too.

The beautiful cities of Perugia, Rome and Siena can be reached easily by car or there is a train service from Passignano Sul Trasimeno and Tuoro.

This is the most important village by Lake Trasimeno. It has dominated the area since the Middle Ages. One of the most notable battles was fought between Hannibal and the Romans.

Review submitted by non-Villarenters customer: Spent two extremely enjoyable and relaxing weeks at La Fargneto far away from the bustle of the rest of the world. Thirteen of us (!) very quickly found ourselves at home on the veranda enjoying the splendid views, visiting the local swimming pool on the road to Preggio (5mins) and eating in Passignano, Perugia, Gubbio etc. Peter and Christine were quick to help us out with minor difficulties and queries and there was always a book, CD or DVD to while away some more peaceful moments when we weren't busy drinking and putting the world to rights on the patio facing west watching the sun sink slowly
