Torretta de Massimi", Prince Lancellotti's family estate since 1600's, is situated on 360 acres of rolling, natural woodlands and manicured gardens and is located at via Pisana 600 right in the heart of Rome (15min from Vatican-2,5km inside GRA) Torretta de Massimi", is one of the 13 nature parks situated within Rome's city boundaries where sacred woods blend with cultivated fields, ancient farmhouses and medieval tower stand next to patrician residences, and precious olive trees grow side-by-side native cork oaks and pine trees. There is an intense profume of cultivated land, while the metropolis is well behind you. It' picture postcard landscape that is both sweet and savage is living proof of an incredible bio-diversity successfully preserved. Sceneries unfolding before the visitor's eyes are often the same ones celebrated by Goethe or landscape painters of the 19th century.We are happy to invite guests to come experience for themselves the old farm life of "vecchia Roma". Inhale scents, colors, flavors and sensations that still exist today and represent an invaluable heritage that must be treasured and appreciated. Make friends with the farm's donkeys, bunnies and newly hatched chicks. Visit an ancient drinking trough full of newly hatched pollywogs. Follow along a well-maintained footpath traversing a cork forest in search of signs of habitat from a great number of wild animals such as fox, beechmartens, weasels, lodgers, porcupines, and pheasant that take refuge in the wooded areas of the property. For children and adults alike, "Torretta de Massimi " nature reserve is an open air classroom

The country house comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 3 twin, 1 single and 1 cots, 5 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 9 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The country house has 5 bathrooms and 5 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The country house has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. A computer with Internet connection is also available for your use. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls and a fax machine.

There is room for 15 in the living room and 12 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer. The owner has also provided cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Review submitted by non-Villarenters customer: Words cannot express our stay at Torreta de Massimi, the ten days enjoyed by our family of five adults and three children far and above exceeded our expectations! The Fienile we stayed in was more than a five star experience, privacy as well as a wonderful family close by made it hard for us to leave a family we all came to really care about. The icing on the cake was having Lori, Ottavios significant other who was always available to meet any needs we had. It was wonderful to experience Rome (15-20 minutes away by bus) only to come home to a wonderful meal prepared by our new friend and chief Lori. The owner Ottavio brought joy to us every day from fresh eggs from his chickens to his entertaining stories. To top off our stay we had the joy of meeting "Skipper" Ottavios Jack Russell Terrier that fulfilled the empty space we had in our hearts for our own dogs.
