The house has recently been lovingly restored to a very high standard and is tastefully furnished in the Tuscan style with exposed beams, terracotta tiles and stonework, but with every modern convenience.

The comfortable and stylish sitting room has double french doors which open out onto a well-maintained private garden which enjoys incredible views of the Appenine Alps, the backbone of Italy. There is an upper terrace with garden, furniture and barbecue, where many an al-fresco meal time can be pleasurably spent, sipping local wine and absorbing the magical atmosphere. The private heated swimming pool and terrace are perfectly situated for enjoying the beautiful views, and of course, sunbathing!

This is a very special property, from which you can enjoy the local amenities of the small town whilst still being secluded.

Bedroom 1 now has stunning French windows with views over the mountains and valley.

Bedroom 2 consists of bunk-beds rather than individual twin beds.  

 

 

Please note that this property is situated in an ancient hilltop town, in which the day to day lifestyle continues as it has done for generations. It is therefore certain that you will experience indigenous sounds of everyday life, including the local church bells and clock which chime during the day. Also, please note that the twin bedroom consists of bunk-beds. We can arrange a cot if required but there is limited space upstairs. The pool is heated from 2008

The village house comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the lounge. This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The village house has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The village house has television video, dvd. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

niall says: "It really was the nicest villa we have yet stayed in. It is very well furnished - comfortable and rustic chic with everything you would need. The views are really spectacular from every window front and back - especially the back. I was worried that it was north facing but the garden/ pool gets more or less continual sunshine. The pool is not overly warm but by no means cold. Sitting on the terrace for breakfast was a real treat. The village is really very quiet and unbelieveably picturesque and the locals very friendly. It is right next to a bell tower but you just stop noticing it after the first few rings and then you miss it when you leave! We stayed for a week and didnt get to explore the local area enough - the scenery is amazing, it felt like being in the Andes. But we did manage to go to Lucca - 40 mins down the mountain (very windy roads) and along the valley which was absolutely beautiful and highly recommended and Florence - 1 hr and 20 by train from Lucca very cheap E10 return each- which we only visited for a day and only took in a handful of the sights - it was beautiful but a bit of a shock with the traffic and hoards of tourists and mostly relaxed for the rest of the time. The local agent - Nora - speaks excellent english and is very helpful. She cooked a four course meal for us one night and it was gorgeous. A cleaner came halfway through the week which was unexpected and a nice bonus. The only thing is that it is perfect for a couple or for a family with 2 small children. If the weather is good then 4 adults could sleep relatively comfortably as you would be outdoors mostly but the second bedroom is quite small and has 2 bunkbeds, the kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you need but has only enough room for 1 person really. Other than that it is excellent value. "
