This beautiful house is located in Santo da Serra, 800 m from the Santo da Serra Golfclub and from all facilities, and 8 Km from the airport . It is surrounded by a garden of 2,000 m2 and its own woods, where one finds lovely corners of inviting peace and quitness. The location of the cottage means that it is very close to nature - there is a very all-year-round green and pleasant environment with butterflies flitting past and bees humming.

The property consists of one floor renovated with extremme care and attention, an where many antiques were tastefully integrated. The lower independent floor is currently locked and not in use. This lovely vacation rental comprises 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin where beds can be arranged as a double, and 1 single), a large living room with open fireplace, dining room, 1 complete bathroom with a bath tube from the beginning of the 20th century and a fully equipped kitchen with all modern amenities but still in keeping the age of the house. Outside, guests enjoy a very large garden that extends to the surrounding woods, with sun terrace, shaded corners with garden furniture and a grill house. Private parking place.

Following the road from Funchal and continuing on it through Camacha, you will encounter a small village called Santo da Serra. This is the home of the former Blandy Park, where the paths are lined with wonderful blooming camellias.

The park has a small variety of animals including deer, horses, goats and even a kangaroo has been sighted.

Weekends are a good time to visit the village as the local people stage their market stalls along the main road and a surprising assortment of food and other goods can be acquired very cheap.

About 1500 metres off the centre of the village you will find the Santo da Serra Golf course - the official venue for the only PGA tournament taking place every year in Madeira. From this course golf players have incredible views over the island and the Atlantic Ocean.
