The district of Garajau, originally a sleepy fishing village named after the flocks of terns that used to nest in the area, is now one of the most popular residential district of Funchal.
Situated along the cliffs, with spectacular ocean views south towards the Desertas Islands, Garajau is only 10 minutes from Funchal to the west and from the airport to the east. On a bluff below Garajau you will find a towering statue of Christ with outstretched arms, modelled on the one at Rio de Janeiro - definitely worth a visit to watch the sun set against the backdrop of the Bay of Funchal.
A new cable car descends the steep cliff to the pebble beach, newly built changing rooms and restaurant below. The coastline conservation area at Garajau, one of Europe's first underwater nature reserves, provides a sanctuary for whales, dolphins and seals.
It is an ideal location for those who want a self catering holiday away from the busy city of Funchal. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean the apartment offers 1 large living room, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, parking area, elevator access, dining area indoor and out. The location of our apartment is ideal for walking, to drive up to Santo da Serra Golf field, to go diving in nearby beach, to have a meal in one of the local restaurants. If you want to be more free, we recomend you to rent a car in one of the local rent a car offices.  

Spending a holiday in our apartment, which is part of a private condominium you can have almost the confort as an hotel. You can enjoy the pool, your kids will have fun in the playground or simply go for a walk and take a exciting view from Cristo Rei monument over Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean. Renting an apartment gives you more freedoom and you can accomodate all your family, in a reasonably cost.

It’s a wonderful and peaceful location with good local restaurants, bakery, supermarket, bus stop, rent a car and other services. The apartment is also very close from Garajau beach, with limpid waters and home of one of the most exciting diving spot in Europe.

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the living room. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 5 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Close to the apartment you will find a beach, walking, cycling, tennis, scuba diving, historic sites, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find sailing, water skiing, boat hire, fishing, climbing, horse riding, golf, a museum, a theatre/cinema, a themepark.

The Garajau beach is also known for diving, there is diving club on spot.

Around the condominium there are plenty of restaurants and all type od daily shopping.
