Villa Fengaropetra in Anavissos is the ideal place for rejuvenation, relaxation and fun. Ideal for musicians, writers, or generally for those who are seeking for a calm environment, where they will be able to study in peace, produce intellectual work, or simply relax, away from the noise of the cities. Also perfect for families with young children, since it offers innumerable possibilities for fun, within a safe environment.

The estate expands at 17.000 sq.m, and it is situated on a hill, overlooking the countryside and the sea, at a distance of 6km. Around the picturesque cottage, long stretches of typical Mediterranean landscape unfold, with olive planted hills, vineyard fields, pine trees, and the blue horizon.

The swimming pool offers a unique combination of luxury and rural environment. The water comes from our own well, fact that reassures its purity and good quality. At the pool, one can enjoy complete privacy, swim or sunbathe, whilst admiring the impressive view. Taking an open air shower and relaxing under the shaded penthouse, completes the satisfaction of the bather. The pool is the spot usually most loved by children, who thrive in its turquoise waters, playing to their hearts delight.

The cottage measures 100 sq.m. and accomodates seven people. It offers the facilities of two double bedrooms, a spacious living room with a double sofa bed, audio equipment, TV and DVD player, a dining room with one extra single bed, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen (with dish-washer and clothes washing machine) and beautiful all round verandas. The house is fully air-conditioned and it has also a fireplace.

Furthermore, beautiful sandy or pebbly beaches are situated along the coastline, and one could alternatively go for swimming in the sea, which is a 10 min. drive away. The main beach of Anavissos is a center for windsurfing and other sea activities, but if one wants a peaceful swim, going a little further down the coastline, would be advisable. Typical Greek fish-taverns, good quality restaurants and fashionable nightclubs, are within easy reach by car, along the coast. Daily excursions to the Argosaronikos islands (Aigina, Hydra, Poros) are also possible.

Anavissos is situated, at 50 km from the center of Athens, at an equal distance from the Olympic Games Stadium, (now with the completion of the Attica highway only a 40 minute drive), another 50 km from the port of Piraeus and 20 km from cape Sounion. The village of Anavissos, a 10 minutes drive from the estate, has a busy market place with supermarkets, grocery shops, pharmacists, doctors and anything you may need for an enjoyable and safe holiday.

 

 

 

The country house comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin. The property also has 1 single sofa bed located in the dining room, 1 double sofa bed located in the living room. This gives room for up to 7 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The country house has 2 bathrooms for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the country house cool.

The country house has television dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The car can get very close to the main entrance. The whole house is on one level. Big all round verandas accessible by wheel chair -excellent for an easy walk. Swimming pool accesible by car or wheel chair. My father who has suffered a stroke 25 years ago and has great difficulty in walking has found the place ideal for the summer months. 

The country house is in a very quiet area. It has a private swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The country house is right beside walking, cycling, mountain biking.

Close to the country house you will find a beach, swimming, sailing, a restaurant.

Within easy reach of the country house you will find water skiing, wind surfing, fishing, golf, tennis, historic sites.

Review submitted by non-Villarenters customer: This is a truly magical place, a little piece of unspoilt Greece by day and a temple of the Moon by night. If you have a car it is a very convenient base for the exploration of Attica and the greater Athens area. It is a place where important archaeological finds have been made, and it has a very particular and distinctive atmosphere. Very highly recommended for a family or a group of friends.
