Ribera Beach is located in an ideal place just a stones throw away from the best beach on the Mar de Cristal ( meaning "Crystal Sea" ) in the Mar Menor. This secluded residential complex is renowned for its crystal clear waters that are a paradise for swimmers and a heaven for all types of water sports fans.
Mar de Cristal , apart from being a residential area, fully caters for all your needs, offers excellent travel links with direct access to the motorway and proximity to Murcia and Alicante airports. 

Just behind the the residential area, you can enjoy the Calblanque natural park, with kilometres of unspoiled beaches on the Mediterrean. Alternatively, the nearby top class La Manga Golf Club Resort offers you a lively international atmosphere ( casinos, shops, restaurants, 3 championship golf courses, etc ).

There is also a local "English Shop" for all those little "tastes from home".

The nearby villages of Cabo de Palos, Algar , Los Belones or La unio n add to the range of cultural offer with additional leisure and shopping facilities. There are a number of supermarkets/indoor shopping centres and most days there are also open air local markets.  

We have a young family, and this area allows for an ideal family holiday. There is a shared swimming pool, with an attached smaller swimming pool for young children. The beach is only 5 minutes walk, and the area is very safe and "child friendly".

The Mar Menor is a lagoon with sea temperatures several degrees warmer than the Mediterranean and shallow safe waters ideal for children.

All shops/restauants/play areas are all within walking distance and hence a car is not essential, but is desirable to discover the local area if you do not want to use public transport.

There is so much history and culture in the area ( Roman city of Cartagena only 15 minutes away) plus light houses, the local working villages, the salt lakes and of course the natural reserve to contrast the beach. The area is surrounded by two seas Mar Manor and the Mediterranean.

Also for the Golf enthusiast there are a number of first class courses available finally no excuse not to learn !!

You will not see all on your first visit but will come back again and again to discover, experience and fall in love with all this area has to offer.  

There is also a lift to the apartment. Also a private reserved underground garage space is available with the apartment during your stay (FREE) . This proves useful specially in summer when the surrounding parking areas can become full. There are 65 digital satellite channels including the normal BBC/ITV and movie and children channels. The apartment comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the Lounge. This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

It is possible to reach the apartment from the road/parking area with a wheel chair, using ramps and lift. The apartment itself has not been adapted in any manner. So please check for further information .  

The apartment is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared selec t aspect swimming pool, a selec t aspect garden, a selec t aspect balcony, sea views, interesting views. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The apartment is right beside swimming, a restaurant, a food shop.

Close to the apartment you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find climbing.

david says: "A lovely well appointed apartment, situated in a nice quiet area. My only concern was the lack of choice in restaurants and bars in Mar de Cristal. If you are looking for a peaceful break with quiet evenings in, it is ideal. If you are going with a couple of restless teenagers, a rental car is essential to find anything going on. As a whole I would return to this apartment with my wife and adult friends and would recommend it highly for this purpose. "
