Leopardi is a large and comfortable apartment in a newly converted farmhouse. This first floor apartment has been completely refurbished but retains original characteristic features such as the wooden beamed ceiling and traditional tiled floors. Patio doors lead to a private terraza which has ample space to sunbathe, a dining table and beautiful views across the valley and over the pool. The fully equipped kitchen has modern oak units finished with granite surfaces, these have been carefully chosen to be both elegant and sympathetic to the soft yellows of the house. The bedroom is large and comfortable, in the heat of summer the thick brick walls, shuttered windows (all fitted with fly-screens) ensure a good night’s sleep is always possible. The modern large bathroom Is separated from the living and bed rooms by a small corridor so the apartment is well suited for 4 adults. For the winter the apartment is centrally heated (no supplement).

The primary consideration in choosing the site was the views which, from the Casal dei Fichi, are both beautiful and relaxing. These can also be enjoyed from the swimming pool which is 15m long and enjoys day long sunshine as does the split level deck running its length. Other garden areas offer shade and tranquillity. Fresh fruit, seasonal vegetables and herbs are freely available from our gardens and orchard, we provide extra virgin olive oil from our own trees for use in the kitchen.
 

The local town of Francavilla d’Ete has all the basic requirements including, a grocers, bakers, butchers and chemist. There are 2 bars and an excellent restaurant which is at the heart of the community. We are always happy to recommend alternatives from the wide range of restaurants in neighbouring towns. Supermarkets are within and 15 minute drive and there is a wide range of outlet shops available.

Many local vineyards can be visited and the owners take great pride in producing good quality wines such as Rosso Conero, Rosso Piceno or Verdecchio. The nearby town of Loro Piceno is the home of Vino Cotto, a potent fortified wine.

We are centrally situated within Marche. The Adriatic coast with its range of beaches from classic Italian Lidos with water sports, excellent restaurants, predominantly seafood, bars and nightclubs, is about a half hour drive. Nearer Ancona the more rugged and beautiful beaches of the Conero Peninsular offer a simpler coastal attraction. The same distance inland the Sibline mountains are ideal for walking or mountain biking, seeing the amazing fields of spring and summer flowers and enjoying regional specialities such as truffles in more excellent restaurants.

On practically every hilltop sits an historic town, all with characteristic town walls and classic architecture with 15th and 16th century churches, many with undiscovered art works. We are about 30 minutes from the regional capitals of Fermo and Macerata with theatres, art galleries and, at Macerata Italy’s second largest opera festival, slightly further is the beautiful city of Ascoli Piceno while Urbino, Assisi and Perugia are all within 2 hours.

For those wishing to experience real Italy Marche is the ideal place to come. Whilst equally as beautiful as neighbouring Tuscany or Umbria it remains less commercialised and developed. The people are generally charming and helpful and holidaymakers are relatively unusual in much of the area. Walkers and cyclists have found Casal dei Fichi to be an ideal location for exploring the beautiful Marche countryside.
 

We are an hour’s drive from Ancona airport which is served by Ryanair with flights from Stansted and Liverpool. We recommend hiring a car from the airport which is served by the major rental companies. It is a very easy drive to Casal dei Fichi once you leave the Italian motorway network one road with no turnings will bring you all the way to us.

Pescara (Abruzzo) airport is also easily reached and we are within 30 minutes of the main east coast railway line.
 

This 1st floor apartment has a large private roof terraza. The living room and bedroom have seperate access to the bathroom so it is well suited for 4 adults.

The apartment comprises 1 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the living room. This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Close to the apartment you will find horse riding, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find a beach, swimming, sailing, skiing/snowboarding, golf, shopping areas.

Many historic towns including Macerata (Opera Festival) and Fermo are a short drive.
