cycling, skiing, exploring the area’s history, a family reunion,. a wedding party or as a pilgrimage to the historic location of Lourdes.

Le Belvedere is a beautiful private home and one you can make yours for the duration of your stay. We have created an ambiance to match the location – a sense of style, comfort and understated luxury that is inviting and intimate – simply perfect.

Dining room

Food and wine are at the heart of the people of the French Pyrenees and certainly look no further than Vallees des Gaves for unique and wonderful local specialities that can be enjoyed in this magnificent dining room. Our dining room seats 10 people however it can seat 12 - 14 comfortably. You do not need visit restaurants to enjoy French cuisine - be adventurous prepare the meals yourself and enjoy and relish in the wonder of French cuisine and wine.

Grand Salon

Warmed in winter by the massive open fireplace and in summer the Grand Salon opens on to the terrace overlooking the magical Haute Pyrenees. The Grand Salon is the heart of the house where you can enjoy wonderful evenings in summer or winter with a glass of wine and wonderful friends.

Kitchen

You may want to eat in one of the many wonderful local restaurants - however who could not resist the temptation to test your skills on the wonderful and tasty array of local French Pyrannean produce. Cook to your hearts and your guests content in your own French kitchen.

Entertainment Room

Want to relax and catch up on the news from home or keep the kids entertained with a DVD or board game? With over 200 Cable channels and a selection of DVD's in multi languages (usually French and English) we are sure that your entertainment needs and those of your children will be catered to.

Master Bedroom

A charmingly beautiful bedroom, in warm golds and burgundys, to rest after enjoying the excitement and beauty of the Haute Pyrenees - it is said that people sleep soundly and restfully in the mountains. This room comes with an adjoining sitting room and en-suite bathroom.

Triple Bedrooms

These two rooms provide stunning views from the top level of the house across the expansive valleys below. Charmingly furnished in antiques each room has a double and single bed with en-suite bathrooms.

Twin Bedroom

This room is comfortably furnished for either children or adults and also has an adjoining bathroom en-suite.
Please note that all bedrooms on the first and second floor are accessible by stairs only.
 

The pool, terrace and BBQ area is yours to enjoy! The pool is alarmed to ensure water safety and the terrace area is fitted with a barbeque to enjoy those wonderful summer evenings and spectacular views of the mountains.

Spring at Le Belvedere is truly breathtaking. The garden comes alive with colour and fragrance that lasts throught summer. Autumn offers up a spectacular display of olds, reds and browns, while winter transforms Le Belvedere into a beautiful snow covered hideaway. Any time of the year is truly magical.
 

Le Belvedere' is unique to the Valley and was originally built over 300 years ago. Since that time as been a government building, local council house, school, and private residence. The 300 year old wooden staircase is heritage listed for its unique construction as it is entirely free standing without vertical support beams. The magnificent staircase is still in its original state and with minor restoration work, stands as strong as at the time it was built. The house is built from stone and chestnut wood and is finished in walnut. It features built-in walnut cupboards and doors mostly in their original state that have seen over 300 years with very little restoration work needed. The floors in the master bedroom are still in their original state and are made of chestnut parquetry.

The country house comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 1 twin, 4 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The country house has 4 bathrooms and 5 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The country house has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 10 in the living room and 10 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this country house.

The country house is in a very quiet area. It has a private swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The country house is right beside a restaurant.

Close to the country house you will find fishing, walking, cycling, horse riding, tennis, a sports center, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the country house you will find climbing, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, golf, historic sites, a museum, a themepark.
