The Villa Cerqualto is a very romantic typical Italian country house surrounded by old oak trees, wonderfully restored with natural and biological materials. Lovely decorated and furnished with antiques from an aristocratic family home. The 200 year old house sits on a slope and has stunning views. You will find the swimming pool situated in an olive grove overlooking the vineyards. The 8 ha estate is owned by a countess, who produces the estate's own biological wine and olive oil. On the grounds around the very unusual house you can sit or lie down in many cosy corners, hide under some old trees or enjoy the breathtaking views over the superb Umbrian countryside. The country lifestyle and exceptional location will give you enough opportunities to relax and dream. The low chemical swimming pool is completely for your own use. The next town is the medieval place Cittá della Pieve, Orvieto is 20min away, Siena and Perugia about 35min, to Rome and Florence you will get in 1hour.

Umbria in autumn/ winter is Umbria at its most intimate. Tourism is practically non-existent from October to March. This is the time when Umbrian’s and Tuscans take possession of their country again.
Your warm house will welcome you. The house has two open fireplaces. A communal meeting/dining room and professional kitchen for large groups are also available at the neighboring house, for separate rental in case of family celebrations, group activities or courses.
The winter months are sprinkled with surprisingly sunny days on which you can drink your cappuccino on the piazza, your back against a sunny wall. Often you can luncheon outside in the sun. Afterwards you might want to stroll among the stalls of the local market and buy the seasonal local produce, which is surprisingly varied even in winter.
Unlike colder climates further north, especially the Umbrian countryside remains green throughout the winter months. The fields are covered in grass, the olive trees keep their silver green leaves, the cypress and pine trees do not shed their needles, and the colors of the countryside are dominated by warm greens, reds and browns, graphic landscape, which varies widely according to the season. In winter the fields are covered by a veil of winter-wheat, and the shadows thrown by the undulations of the hills make the landscape seem rippled with movement. This is the time the take treks through the area with or with out your photo camera.

The villa comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 2 single and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the sitting room. This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only and a fax machine.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils.
