This luxurious apartment is the perfect romantic setting for honeymooons and second honeymoons. It is a 26 sqm (280 sq feet) beautiful renovated duplex studio located on the ground floor of a 1900 Hausmann building at 26, avenue Marceau in the heart of the 8th Arrondissement, just around corner of the famous hotel George V.

Transportation is easy: the nearest metro stop is Alma Marceau and there is a taxi stand and a bus stop in front of the door. A local super marché, bakery shops and laundry and tobacco shops are just across the street.

For sleeping, the apartment has a double bed in the bedroom section on the upper level and a chaise on the ground level in the living room. In addition, there is a very comfortable twin-sized aerobed that is stored if not needed and that automatically self-inflates to sleep one person. There is a marble floor in the bathroom, which is located on the upper level, next to the bedroom section. The kitchen has beautiful granite countertops and a bar, a stainless steel microwave, a glass top stove and stainless steel refrigerator.

The living room is very tastefully decorated in “Belle Epoque” style. A chandelier matches the black and white marble floor; a wrought iron staircase leads up to the bedroom, and hand-painted copies of famous paintings make you feel that you are still enjoying the Musee d’Orsay and the Louvre!

Wireless Internet is included and the apartment is equipped with stereo and TV. Access to the elegant courtyard will allow you to enjoy an oasis in central Paris. Enjoy a petit dejeuner sitting at your patio table or on a garden bench in the courtyard.

Pat says: "The central location was excellent, but the apartment was smaller than expected. It is certainly not luxurious but adequate for the price.It accomodated two singles OK, but is not suitable for 4 people as stated on the website.Some of the features mentioned were not available, there was no dining room, no oven except microwave and no kettle except the coffeemaker.No hanging facilities for clothes and towels. Stairs are narrow and steep to the main sleeping area.Beds were comfortable,the bathroom was minute, but fairly efficient and clean. We think it would be very hot in warmer weather,ventilation not the best. We did not find shops across the street, but they are within easy walking distance. We had a dispute with the concierge who insisted that we needed to pay E165 for the key and cleaning. We paid 65, which was more than expected, but refused to pay the 100 as that had been prepaid at the time of booking.The concierge reluctantly accepted that and was helpful, but language barrier didn't help. We would consider staying again, now we know what to expect, but the deposit situation needs to be sorted out."
