We have furnished almost entirely with antiques, including two 19th century brass chandeliers, 18th century recommier, fauteuils, oriental carpets, oil paintings. Oh, yes, we have two brand-new upholstered sitting chairs at the dining room table (sent from the US!). Walls are various shades of white, including ceiling border. All are top of the line. And why not? NOT a for-rental rehab..we decorated as tastefully as we could as this was our own place.

Kitchen is comfortable by Marais standards. We love that it is a separate room, with all new top-line Miele appliances. We wanted a cheerful, sort of bistro feel...friends say we succeeded!

Bathroom features a comfortable large soaking tub, with integrated shower. A brand-new washer-dryer is also in the bathroom. WC is separate.

Bedroom: queen American-size bed, beautiful linens, full-size Victorian stand-up mirror, silk curtains, built-in bookcase, plenty of closets (built-in as well), phone.

Other amenities: Brand-new flat-screen LCD TV, DVD, CD, with four- speaker: home theater type sound...really nice system. Orange cable with international channels.

Located on the 4th floor--European-style--but the landings are not as long as some 19th century places. No lift.

Location: Isle St. Louis about a 5 minute walk (along a passage through a monastery). One block from rue, Vielle du Temple and only a few more from the boutiques, cafes, and chic Paris shopping. Three or four blocks from one of our favorite "places du calm" in Paris: Place Marche de St. Catherine, and a bit farther along, the Place des Vosges.

Outside? The pre-revolutionary Marais quarter, a microcosm of the treasures that make Paris, well, Paris. Sipping jasmine tea at Mariage Freres, an elegant salon de where waiters in cool, white linen waft by with steaming pots, glistening tarts and plump, golden madeleines. Shop at the antique stores in Village St. Paul, a maze of medieval courts and passages behind the the eponymous Eglise..

Inside, relax in our one-two bedroom, 76 sq cm apartment, on a high floor fronting on the rue Roi de Sicilie. It is dominated by its "double-sejours, two rooms separated by large, French doors. One of these can easily become a quite private second bedroom, and comes equipped with a new convertible sofa. Three floor-to- ceiling French windows border the two rooms, flooding them with light. Herringbone parquet floors throughout. 

The apartment comprises 1 bedrooms in total; 1 double. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the Living room (converts to private bedroom). This gives room for up to 3 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls.

There is room for 5 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
