The old town of Rhodes is the oldest inhabited medieval town in Europe and as World Heritage Monument it is protected by UNESCO.
Throughout history its various occupants have left their traces in this beautiful town and as you get lost in the maze of its many cobble-paved streets, you will be left with a deep impression created by the mixture of oriental and western architecture.
Every historical period from the Ancient Greek,Hellenistic,Roman and Byzantine times to the Venetians/ Knights of St.John and later to the Ottomans; all these have left their mark in this old town.
This mixture of cultures makes the Old Town of Rhodes a living monument, creating many opportunities for the visitor to wander around and explore the different faces of this lovely place. 

As you close the large wooden door behind you, you enter a different world, a world that has maintained the character of the period of the knights.
On the ground floor you enter the stone hall which is separated from the livingroom by a stone arch. The open diningroom- kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences.
On the 1st floor there are 2 double bedrooms (1 with double bed and 1 with twin beds), 2 bathrooms with shower/WC and an extra open room with a double couch bed so 6 persons can sleep here comfortably.
As you walk out into the garden which is surrounded by a wall to give you privacy, you have a small terrace with plenty of sitting space.A few steps lead to the open part of the garden with a towering palmtree,a dining and barbeque area.There also is another small building which contains a bathroom with shower,W.C. and washing machine.
Although the house is located in the center of the old town,you will find it an amazingly quiet place, a wonderful oasis inmidst the busier outside world. 

The house is situated close to the center of the Old town, in a narrow shopping street with little shops and as no cars are allowed,it is quiet.Yet restaurants and bars are in walking distance and we are happy to recommend some of the best ones, known mainly to locals.

The house comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the open room on 1st floor. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The house has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the house cool.

The house has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 5 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this house.

The house is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a barbeque.

The house is right beside walking, cycling, historic sites, a museum, shopping areas, a restaurant.

Close to the house you will find a beach, swimming, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, tennis, a sports center, scuba diving, a theatre/cinema, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the house you will find mountain biking, horse riding, golf, a themepark.

Steve says: "This property is excellent. It is located in the heart of the Old Town and you can step out of the front door right into the quaint cobbled streets in the hub of the town. When we arrived, we were amazed at the amount of room and the facilities available. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bedrooms are a good size and both have en-suite. There is a shady area before the garden which was very nice to relax late afternoon and early evening. We ate around the table in the garden most mornings which was excellent. The sitting room has comfortable chairs and there is a TV / cable / DVD to watch if you can find the time! Monica, the owner was very accomodating and was always available should the need arise. We had a very enjoyable stay in June 08 and wouldnt hesitate to go back. "
