A space of discoveries

Cross-country skiing by night
The Nordic Center often propose to go cross-country skiing by night. Amateurs, kids et adults, novices and specialists can share a good moment (equips relay race).

Since 1975 with the biathlon France Championship, Nancroix lives a long love story with this discipline. With its shooting stadium, the nordic ski area of Peisey-Vallandry is one of the best in France to welcome biathlon's competition.
 

44 km of ski runs at the gateway to the Vanoise National Park.

The Nordic area of Peisey-Nancroix is situated at 1500m on a vast plateau at the gateway to the Vanoise National Park. There are 44 km of well-kept, carefully marked out cross-country ski runs, as well as routes for walkers, criss-crossed by sledge routes, all in exceptional surroundings. There is also the opportunity to walk in snow shoes.

The lushness of the flora and fauna (chamois, ibex, larch forests, frozen waterfalls) and of the local heritage (villages, hamlets, ancient mines) is there to be discovered by all who enter this beautiful site. The area is linked to the villages of Peisey (4 km) and Nancroix (1 km) by shuttle bus. Both villages offer many types of accommodation.

The centre provides :
- maintenance, marking-out and emergency assistance on the 44 km of ski runs (traditional and skating tracks)
- welcome and information point
- reception service and overall management of the Gîte Municipal des Glières (30 places)
- hiring of cross-country skiing equipment and snowshoes
- ski-waxing facilities


BADGES PRICES WINTER 2006 2007 :
In order to contribute to the upkeep of the pistes (daily wear and tear, trackmarkers, security measures) a ski pass is obligatory for Nordic skiing.

The ski chalet comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 2 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 single sofa bed. This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The ski chalet has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The ski chalet has dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 10 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

This is a non-smoking ski chalet

The ski chalet is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a east facing patio area, a east facing balcony, interesting views.

The ski chalet is right beside climbing, flying, walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, skiing/snowboarding, a restaurant.

Close to the ski chalet you will find swimming, fishing, golf, tennis, a sports center, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the ski chalet you will find sailing, boat hire, wind surfing, historic sites, a museum.

Husky rides, snowmobiles, rafting, parascending, Audi ice driving, infact every activity imaginable

Annecy is a must to visit in both winter and summer especially the sunday antiques fayre.
