Villa Vico del Porto is a private home which has undergone major refurbishment in 2008 to include a stunning new 10 x 5 metre swimming pool with marble surround, Roman steps and lights. The villa has marble floors throughout, new quality kitchen and two new bathrooms. As a private home it has many of the extras not often found in villa rentals including Sony 40" flat screen TV, Philips surround sound system including DVD player.

We fell in love with Perde Sali on our first visit. It is in a beautiful area but retains its village character not getting swamped by visitors in the summer season.The coastline nearby has many kilometres of silky sandy beaches. Chia voted by Telegraph readers as the best beach in the Mediterranean is a 20 minute drive. The more modest but still lovely sandy beach in Perde Sali is a 2 minute walk and generally used only by local people.

Marco and Mauro offer simple food at the village bar/pizzeria/tabbachi just around the corner, served in a friendly atmosphere and the beach is a 2 minute walk.

A car is advisable to get the best from the area, but everything you might want is within a short drive. If you crave some nightlife there are many summer concerts in Pula plus lovely restaurants and shops selling artisan jewelry, and local crafts.

The ground floor consists of a large living room with cloakroom and bathroom to the side plus kitchen. There are two large comfortable sofas and a large coffee table plus an extendable dining table. The living room has a log fire. The new kitchen with granite worktops and XXL stainless steel fridge opens onto the dining area. There are double doors onto the rear loggiato / terrace. From here you can access the utility room with miele washing machine and sink.

On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom and balcony with sea views. There is also a twin bedroom. (third bed can be supplied if required)

The large Cantina / basement, is set up as a games room and also has a spare divan in case the party requires extra sleeping accommodation.

The house is set in 1,000sqm garden, surrounded by fragrant Eucalyptus as well as being home to palms, olive, pomegranite fig, orange and lemon trees. There is parking for a number of cars in the carport and driveway. The property has open views to the sea, mountains and small fishing pond nearby, with its lovely wildlife of nesting herons and ducks.

There is a large BBQ to the side of the house.

The rear garden contains a beautifully lanscaped and sunny 10metre x 5 metre swimming pool with Roman steps and lights to add to your holiday enjoyment plus a number of fruit trees and other mediterranean flowers and shrubs including bouganvillia, jasmine and hibiscus. In addition to the grass and paved areas there is a large covered loggiato which offers shelter from the midday sun whilst allowing al fresco dining with pool and mountain views. There is a 2000 litre water tank and pump to ensure high pressured water at all times.

N.B. The landscaping of the pool area is continuing and the new lawn will be laid at the end of February. 

The Villa and 10 x 5 metre pool is in a lovely plot only 200 metres from the Marina at Perde Sali and the sandy beach. There is a friendly cafe/pizzeria/tabacchi only 100 metres distance. The lovely market town of Pula with its numerous summer concerts in Piazza Popoli and street markets, plus lovely shops selling Sardinian specialities as well as many fine restaurants, is only a 5 minute drive.
The beautiful Roman ruins at Nora with their many mosaic floors and Roman amphitheatre is also about 7 minutes drive.
The stunning beaches at Chia and Tueredda with sand dunes, many water sports and unspoilt beauty are only a 15 & 25 minute drive.
The beautiful medieval walled city of Cagliari is only 35 minutes and offers all the usual big city benefits as well as many historic areas. There are many excellent restaurants, shops and wine bars in the city. 

The loggiatos/terraces surround three sides of the house. The front loggiato/terrace and balcony have sea views. The rear views are towards the mountains of Nora. The large Cantina / basement contains a sofabed, fridge, dart board and various equipment for the beach. The property has a swimming pool which is in the sun most of the day. Also the lovely local sandy beach is a 2 min walk.

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the Cantina. This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television and home cinema with dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private west facing swimming pool, a east facing garden, a east facing patio area, a east facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. The villa is right beside a beach, swimming, fishing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, a restaurant.

Close to the villa you will find sailing, boat hire, wind surfing, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, shopping areas, a themepark, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find flying, a theatre/cinema.
