Casa Alfeo faces the sea and the Island of Ortigia. It is located between the romantic Lungomare Alfeo and the Castello Maniace, the Casa Alfeo is one-roomed air-conditioned studios with kitchenette, independent bathroom, TV and balcony over the Mediterranean Sea and the Big Harbour of Siracusa. The bedroom is in a loft (by a winding staircase). The zone is pretty touristic so it offers all the services as well as pubs and characteristic restaurants. The Aretusa's Fountain, the Duomo, the Maniace Castle, Apollo Temple, are simply reachable in only a few minutes walking. The Lidi (equipped sand-beach) are located very close to the property. Overview

sm says: "This studio is managed by a hotel in Syracuse. The staff were really helpful although determined that the money payable for linen etc had to be paid by cash- despite a plethora of signs indicating acceptance of a number of credit cards. This meant delays as we had to find cash machines which were working in order to pay the deposits.
The studio has one big plus- the small balcony does overlook the water. The studio is very good for accessing Ortiga which is stunning. Downsides are that it is very small, the only soft seat is the bed, and the shower is a rickety contraption which sprays water all over the bathroom and has doors which dont move easily- this is O.K as long as you are not trapped under scalding water!
It is minimal in terms of self catering, fine for the odd salad, if you dont mind making it in a pan but not worth thinking about if you want to do more than a single dish "
