This charming old village house is located in the heart of the Karst region in a small village Krajna vas, only a short drive away from busy Trieste (Italy) and Ljubljana (Slovenia). The house was built more then 150 years ago by a local farmer and restored by the current owners, who renovated every intimate detail. The house has a typical karst house structure with an L shaped building and a garden in the middle. When entering through the main gate you find yourself in a hidden garden where you can find peasce and tranquility. The intimacy of this garden attracted many famous people who spent their vacations with the owners to enjoy the privacy. Many of them even left small signatures, which can be found throughout the house.
This beautiful house has kept its original structure and façade, but due to a demanding owner received new comfortable features like satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen and central heating. The garden has also a heated swimming pool that refreshes the guests during hot summers and keeps them worm on long winter days. This beautiful house is available for rent all year around.
 

The house was featured in many magazines for its unique restoration. With preserving old materials and architectural elements it became a fine example of a “Karst house”. 

 

There is also a fireplace in the living room.

The country house comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 1 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The country house has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The country house has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided glassware, cooking utensils.

The country house is in a very quiet area. It has a private swimming pool, a garden, a balcony, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The country house is right beside swimming, walking, cycling.

Close to the country house you will find a beach, horse riding, golf, historic sites, a restaurant.

Within easy reach of the country house you will find sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, climbing, flying, a museum, shopping areas.

Silvia says: "Thanks we had good time in your place The location of the house in Krasna Vas was very convinient in terms of knowing the farm life and domestic animals. Uma and Tom enjoy meeting all the animals around including rabbits, cows, birds, chickens...Uma couldnt wait to go feed rabbits every morning and she spent quality time with them:-) Every morning excatly at 6 am we heard autentic sounds of donkey s or maybe other animal, but it happened so preciselly at 6 am that we agreed that it is electronic alarm>? Do you know if that was real? The pool was great and unfortunaltelly we only spent there few evenings, since we made busy program for the days we spent there. Evening sett-up around the pool is great!!! So peacefull and quite....The house has his own magic due to its age and the decoration is adding very special taste. Slovenia is impressivly beautifull and well organize country! Thanks for a great accomodation!"
