The property is situated on the Island of Tromoy (The pearl of Southern Norway).
The apartment has been previously rented out for an 8 year period through a local rental company boasting many good reviews and satisfied customers.
In the winter of 2006/7 the apartment has been totally renovated to a high standard, heated tiled floors, fully tiled bathroom etc.
There are 2/3 bedrooms – 1.Main bedroom with a dbl bed. : - 2.A smaller bedroom with bunk bed. : - 3.Also a third room that can ‘double up’ as a lounge/bedroom with a double sofa bed.
Also: - the lounge, kitchen and bathroom.
We recommend this size suitable for up to a family of six, with additional place for a crib.

Two’ couples’, (that need a bit of elbow room). But we are flexible and can improvise if needed.

The island of Tromoy is the largest one of the nine islands that the main town of Arendal is comprised of.
Tromoy, being quite a small island in comparison, has a special combination of thick pine forests with strips of white sandy beaches dividing them from the open sea and fjords. Within the centre of the island is a rural belt creating the feeling of being in the middle of the country side, even at the height of the busy season one can find tranquillity here.
Stroll through the forests, sun bathing, and snorkelling in the crystal clear waters or fishing. You can find ‘your own private beach’ or hang with the crowd it’s your choice…

The main town of Arendal is easily accessible; leave your car, 5 mins walk & 5 mins on the ferry to Arendel town centre.
In the 17-1800's 'Venice of the North', as Arendal was earlier nicknamed, being the busiest port in Norway, the North’s main connection to Holland, England, West Indies & the rest of the world. Sail ships queuing up off the neibouring islands of Merdoy and Hisoy waiting their turn to unload their cargo.
Today Arendal is considered summer Norway’s most popular holiday destination, attracting people from around the world. There are an abundance of restaurants, catering for all tastes, pubs, discos and shopping centres…

Island hopping. From the town centre it is possible to take one of the local ferries to one of the many surrounding islands.
The island of Merdø as well as having idyllic white sandy beaches has a museum to visit.
There is also a large river- Nidelv, which have organised sightseeing trips that leave twice a day from the port of Arendal.
So pack your picnic hamper, swimming trunks, snorkel and fishing rod, find your own island & enjoy…

The Four Seasons.
Compared to England for example, the four seasons are much more defined.
Although there are many summer attractions, spring, autumn and winter offer a whole range of spectacular experiences:-
Winter in Southern Norway is almost guaranteed snow from Dec to March, a white blanket creating a backdrop to the perfect winter holiday - skiing, sledging, skating, ice fishing, sea fishing. Welcome to the land of ‘Father Christmas’.
Spring brings the melting snow and ice, strong sunshine, life returning to nature, ‘the sap rising’. One can choose between - Skiing in the mountains or to sit in a beer garden, have lunch and take in the local sights.
Autumn, many consider to be the most beautiful of seasons in Norway. ‘Indian summers’ are a common occurrence, daytime temperatures averaging 15C, breathtaking sunsets, and the colours of the autumn leaves on Mother Nature’s canvas…

Property is situated approx 100meters from seafront, 5 minutes walk down a wooded pathway. There is use of a smaller BBQ inkl. with the property or a larger 'grill house' with open fire for shared usage. The grounds are particularly children friendly, with use of trampoline in the summer, tree swings & many other attractions to pacify the children.

The apartment comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin and 2 cots. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the TV / Couchette. 1 double bunk bed located in the Small Bedroom. This gives room for up to 6 people.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. A computer with Internet connection is also available for your use. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only and a fax machine.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The apartment is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a garden, a south facing patio area, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The apartment is right beside boat hire, walking, cycling, a food shop.

Close to the apartment you will find a beach, swimming, fishing, mountain biking, horse riding, tennis, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find climbing, skiing/snowboarding, golf, a zoo, a themepark.
