THE APARTMENT - GENERAL
Beautifully arranged, bright, one-bedroom apartment, perfectly positioned in a quiet, rural landscape with stunning views of the Tatra mountain range. Within 300 yards is a hotel (Cztery Pory Roku) which serves meals and there is a grocery store in the village. It is a short 10 minute drive to Zakopane with its teeming nightlife and many restaurants. There is a ski lift located between the apartment and Zakopane - the perfect spot to start a day's skiing. This is a perfect place for a family, group of friends or a couple looking to get away from it all yet with a wealth of activities within easy reach. The apartment benefits from high quality, modern appliances whilst at the same time maintaining a traditional feel with a wood burning stove and wooden decor throughout. To end a perfect day, why not take a sauna (located in the apartment complex).

- Easy access to Zakopane
- Quiet neighbourhood
- Newly decorated and furnished throughout
- Close to entrance to the National Park
- Close to ski lifts
Reviews
Below we have copied some genuine comments and feedback we have received from guests who have stayed here:-

1) The apartment was ideally located - something I think you could underline and capitalise on. Also we found it very comfortable, well laid out and a great improvement on impersonal hotels.

2) I think your publicity on the villarenters site undersells your apartment somewhat, but the link to your own web-site gives all the photos etc. that you could wish for.

3) We thought the apartment was very good value for money (maybe a little underpriced?)
Cost wasn't a big priority when we made our booking, but when compared to the other apartments that were available for the week of our holiday, we felt it was ideal for our needs. (Rating 1)

4) The "greetings service" is without a doubt a great bonus, it was something that I did look for when researching our accommodation. (Rating 1)

5) I would have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to any of my family or friends, I would recommend your apartment to anybody I knew that was planning a trip to Krakow.

I hope the above helps with your future rentals, and I wish you both well with the business.

If I can be of further help, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

Karen

Hi Jo and Rafal,

Just a quick note to let you both know how much we enjoyed our trip to Krakow.

Our visit was made all the more enjoyable with our stay in your lovely apartment, and the kindness of Leszek and his wife. Please re-iterate to them both how very kind and helpful they were.

We had a little trouble when we couldn't get into the apartment one evening, and when we telephoned Leszek he was very understanding (we have since discovered that the chain from the security lock got trapped between the door and the frame, and wouldn't allow the lock to turn). His reaction to my call was "don't worry, these things happen"!

Our short holiday was spoilt only by the weather, but as I mentioned, returning to your lovely apartment after a day in the wind and rain was wonderful. I would have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to family and friends.

We hope to make a return visit, perhaps in the Spring or early Summer, and if your apartment was available, we would like to repeat the experience.

Everybody that we met while in Krakow were extremely friendly and helpful, and I know I can speak for my husband and father when I say that yourselves and your family in Poland made the holiday all the more enjoyable.

With many thanks,

Karen Lister

RE: Holiday-Rentals.co.uk enquiry: #87002 - from Colin Moore - "Luxury apartment, central Krakow"þ

Hi Jo,

Yes I had a great time. It was a nice change to be out in the cold and the snow and certainly didn't detract from the weekend.

Thanks again,

Colin.

1.)Can you please let us know what was good about the apartment?

The heating was great - very effective and made it very comfortable. I had the big bedroom and was never cold and my friend said the little room was fine as well.
Nice to have so much space and although there was only two of us staying, it could easily accommodate 2 couples or more. We tended to sit around the kitchen table and didn't use the sitting room that much so option for a sofa bed in there.
2.) What would improve your stay in the apartment? What could we do better?

Only minor things:

Coffee maker - just a little stove top type.
Mugs - us Brits like our tea!

3.)Do you think the publicity for this apartment undersold/oversold the apartment or did you find it about right i.e. your expectations matched with what you actually experienced.

I don't think you emphasize enough what a great location it's in. Most of the Krakow websites reference the Old Town and Jewish Quarter and obviously you're perfectly placed for both. I'd done a little bit of research re. the bars and clubs etc. but maybe you could highlight on the location page the key areas.

Maybe should point out that it's on the third floor so elderly, infirm etc may struggle.

4.) Do you think the apartment was good value for money? Please rate between 1-5, 1 being very good value, 5 being very bad value.

Very good value - 2 or 1.5. Looking at the hotel websites, I would have expected to get a twin in 3 star central hotel for around the same price, and obviously your apartment has so much more to offer.

5.)If you used the ‘greeting’ service at the airport, do you think this was good value? Again, please rate between 1-5, 1 being very good value, 5 being very bad value.

Good value - 2. I know a taxi would have been a little cheaper but the convenience of not having to worry about explaining to a taxi driver where we were going was worth the few pounds extra. We had plenty of time going home to be able to get the train, but wouldn't have liked to do that on arrival.

6.)Would you recommend this apartment to your friends and family?

Yes definitely - would come back with my family (although don't think my wife could cope in the winter but son would love the snow!)

7.)Please add any further comments and suggestions you may have.

It was good have a contact number before departure and the fact you were so responsive to my emails. There's always a little bit of uncertainty entering into a trust agreement like this so it was good to hear a voice as well as just email. I've used holiday-rentals.com several times before and I've always felt more comfortable when I've been able to speak to the renter.

YOUR STAY
We want to maximise your enjoyment of your stay so will accommodate your requests as much as we can. For a small fee, you can be met at the airport. Otherwise you will be welcomed at the apartment where you will be shown how everything works and help you with any queries you may have about your stay. We also own an apartment in Krakow which perfectly complements a stay in Zakopane. Krakow is the cultural capital of Poland and is a must for its wealth of cultural sites, busy cafe culture and lively nightlife. Where possible, we offer you the choice of dividing your stay between Krakow and Zakopane and can be flexible over which days you spend at either apartment. The Krakow apartment is also advertised on this website - property number 34811.
