The apartment is the ground floor of a 2 unit building that was formerly a house. It is very quaint, on one level, and opens direclty onto the balcony and patio and garden. There are 2 bedrooms and a big living/dining room and a kitchen. It is not luxury but very comfortable. Our children used to live in it with their children. 

The house has a spectacular view of Lake Lugano and the surrounding mountains. We bought it primarily for the view. It is the next to last house going up the mountain (Generoso) so there is almost no traffic that passes the house. Very quiet and peaceful. Great place for hiking and relaxing. It is a microclimate area so even in the winter it is generally very mild. 

Rovio is a small village from the Roman period with a population of about 800. There are cobblestone roads, narrow passageways and buildings are often several centuries old. The area has many vinyards and most houses are lived in by their owners. There are some tourists but it is not a touristy place at all, it is a very authentica swiss italian village. The village has a few restaurants, a hotel and a grocery store, as well as post office and bank. It is a 5 minute drive down to the lake.  

The view of lake lugano and the mountain backdrop is unforgetable and unique. The garden is very big and there is playground equipment for children (slide, swing, sandbox). Parking ample for several cars.

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 5 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 5 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

This is a non-smoking apartment

Pets are welcome
Must be housebroken of course. Dogs must be kept on the leash as the garden is not fenced in high enough for them to be loose. Guests are asked to please pick up the croces of their animals from the garden. No elephants, please. 

Not suitable for wheelchairs 

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The apartment is right beside walking, cycling, mountain biking.

Close to the apartment you will find a beach, swimming, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, historic sites, shopping areas, a themepark, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find horse riding, golf, tennis, a museum, a theatre/cinema.
