AROUND CETONA
Its a great pleasure to walk around the village with its medieval streets and stairways circling the "Fortezza" on its central rock. There are many beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and Monte Cetona covered in Olive Trees and Grape Vines. The views are "timeless" and can remind you of Renaissence paintings. The place is a "photographers dream". On the Beleverde up the mountain dirt road are caves and Archaeolocical sites , the story goes St Francis slepted in those caves. The village has a small Museum of Local Archaeology. Chiusi has the National Etruscan Museum, with prearranged guided tours of caves with Etruscan Paintings.
