This well-appointed villa/country house stands on an acre of land on a wooded hillside, with a gorgeous vista of the Tiber valley, the Monti Martani and the ancient town of Todi, one of central Italy's loveliest spots.

Le Vigne's open plan living room and kitchen, with rustic stonework, wooden beams and terracotta tiles opens on to a large terrace with a panoramic view of the countryside. Todi itself is set jewel-like on a hill rising on the opposite side of the Tiber Valley.

There is a spacious garden with an 11x6 metre swimming pool, as well as an olive grove and some woodland. 

The museums, restaurants and cafes of Todi are a 15-minute drive away.

In the summer, Umbrian villages hold yearly feasts with lots of good, cheap food. This is a great way of seeing the country and avoiding dishes.

Le Vigne is ideally placed for day trips to the splendours of Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto Spoleto, and many more. Trains and buses will take you to Rome.
 

The area is poorly served by public transport, so you will need your own car.

Note that there is no landline telephone. We like it that way. But if you absolutely must have a phone on holiday, make sure your mobile is set to roam in Italy, or buy a pay-as-you phone in Italy.

The country house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 single sofa bed located in the living room. This gives room for up to 7 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The country house has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The country house has television satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

This is a non-smoking country house

The country house is in a very quiet area. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a east facing patio area, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The country house is right beside swimming, walking.

Close to the country house you will find horse riding, tennis, historic sites, a museum, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.
