Kveldheim lies by itself on a peninsula outside Øksenvågen in Averøy. A peaceful, quiet place – the house is of good standard, with both old and new furnishings. A short boat ride is easiest way to get there. Swimming pond near the house with warm water. A boat with motor is included – good fishing for variety of fish. You can take short hikes near the house or drive the short distance to the marked trails that go to the mountaintops on Averøy. Diving, riding and many cultural and natural attractions in the area. Kveldheim is a beautiful property situated on a peninsula on the outer tip of Averøy. It is part of the old fishing station Øksenvåg which has rich traditions in coastal and sea fishing. The main house, built before 1900 with additions in the 1930’s, is an impressive building of high standard with old building details combined with modern facilities. From the windows there is a fabulous view of the sea and nostalgic Øskenvågen. Lying as it does on the end of the peninsula, one gets the feeling of being on an island with just a 1 minute’s boat ride from the wharf to the mainland. There are facilities for cleaning fish both in the boat house and on the pier. The boats are moored by the floating wharf. Atlantic Highway – where sea meets land. This unique highway takes you to where the sea meets the land. It is one of Norway’s most popular tourist attractions and in 2005 was proclaimed a National Tourist Road. Distance from Kveldheim - 32 km.
Diving in Hustadvika. Hustadvika with many shipwrecks and a rich flora and fauna is an eldorado for divers. StrømsholmenSeaSportCenterlies near the Atlantic Highway. Eriklia Activity Farm. With 60 Nordland/Lyng horses. The world’s largest stock of this extremely rare race of horses. The activity farm has 15 different kinds of animals - with a total of about 250 animals. Horseback riding. Kristiansund. Visit Kristiansund – “the city by the sea”. Kristiansund, the capital of Nordmøre, is renowned for its restaurants, night life and its friendly maritime atmosphere. A harbour boat shuttles between the city’s four islands. Kristiansund was once known as the “Clipfish* City” but is now Mid-Norway’s petroleum capital. The Temple of Trolls, a system of limestone caves located between Trolltind and Hælen in Eide municipality. Parking area and marked path to the grotto, 485 meters above the sea. Approx. 1 to 1 ½ hrs’ hike. 50 km from Kveldheim.

Gulltanna 591 meters above sea level.
These mountains are centrally located in the municipality. Several marked trails lead to their tops.
Kvernes Stave Church is one of Norway’s youngest stave churches, built around 1300.
OldKvernesCulturalVillage, one of the largest and most visited in the county. It consists of more than ten old buildings from Averøy and the surrounding area as well a wide array of museum items.
Bremsneshola is Nordmøre’s largest cave reaching 80 meters inside the mountain. The many archeological finds in the area show that there was settlement here as far back as 10 000 years ago. It is 8 km from Kveldheim to Bremsnes. You’ll find a marked trail across from the Statoil service station.
Håholmen, an old fishing station which lies as a last defence against the sea. On this 12-acre island there are over 30 buildings, several of which are from the 1700’s and 1800’s.
During the summer, a Viking ship carries passengers to the island, leaving the mainland every hour on the hour. The trip takes approx. 10 minutes. www.haholmen.no
