Cabin in Hardangervidda. "Oksebotn Vokterbolig" is located 1150 metres above sea level, approx. 9 km south-east of Finse and 19 km from Haugastøl, between the mountain areas of Hallingskarvet and Hardangerjøkulen. Ski tracks leading you through the Hardangervidda National Park are found 2 km away. The "Rallarvegen" cycle track passes straight by the cabin. Obviously you are given unlimited possibilities for experiencing nature year-round! Cars can be driven up to approx. 3 km from the house in summer. In winter it is possible to order transportation by snow scooter from Finse.
Cabin
This 2 storey unit constitutes one half of a house formerly used as a house for lengthmen of the railway between Oslo and Bergen. On the ground floor there is an entrance, kitchen and living room. 2 bedrooms with 5 beds are found on the 1st floor. Extra bedrooms in the next door flat may be rented in addition. The house holds basic standard and is for rent on weekly basis only.
