Our cottage is in Brittany on the North West coast of France. It is in a great location for a seaside holiday, with the sea only a 25 min stroll (for those active types) or 5 minutes away by car.

Though off the beaten tourist track (no crowds, no big hotels), the area is much sought after for its beaches and water sports. The nearby coast features exquisite white sand beaches, quiet coves, fishing ports and a cliff path giving superb views over the Bay of Audierne.

This is an unspoiled part of France, proud of its heritage, welcoming to guests and free of crowds, huge hotels and over-crowding.
 

Within walking distance (or a short drive) is the town center of Audierne with village shops, bars and restaurants, and a lively Saturday market selling local produce, seafood, cheese, local hard cider and charcuterie. There is a bakery just around the corner for your morning croissant. There is a river and footpaths through the woods. There are also many miles of pathways along the coast for walking or cycling. 

Beyond all the phenomenal beaches (including two world-class surfing beaches) there is much to do in this very typical, very lively, yet very off-the-beaten tourist track.

The Pointe du Raz (the End of the World) is just at the other end of Audierne. The ferry for the Ile de Sein leaves from the harbor here. Nearer home there are a river and footpaths through the woods.

The exquisite medieval city of Quimper with its renowned cathedral is a 30 minute drive away. Benodet and Pont-Aven, both popular holiday destinations, are only a short drive away.

The area is littered with ancient Celtic standing stones. Carnac is not far away, but there are many impressive dolmens right here, overlooking the ocean.

 

This small, no-frills cottage is economical and impeccably clean. The property accomodates five comfortably. (It also contains a fold-out couch which can sleep an additional person.) This property is ideal for small parties, 2 adults and 2-3 children, or 4 adults and 1-2 children. The kitchen is fully equipped. We also provide linens and towels. Ground floor: living room, a simple but recently-updated and fully-equipped galley kitchen, bathroom, separate WC. First floor: bedroom with double/queen bed, small bedroom with single/twin bed, separate WC. Top floor: bright, twin bedroom with skylights. The cottage does not have a garden, though we spend so much time outside or at the beach that we never miss it. There is street parking for one car and electric heating.

The village house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin, 1 single and 1 cots. The property also has 1 single sofa bed located in the lounge. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.
