General Property Description
The Granary is set on the courtyard of a water mill called Molin del Resco, nestled in a valley of terraced olive orchards with a mountain stream running throught the 3 acre estate. The spacious garden has a ping-pong table an outdoor gym area and barbecue. On a terrace, surrounded by olive trees, is a 8 meter x 4.5 meter swimming pool with wooden deck for sunbathing. Relax in a hammock on the bank's of the stream or take a seven-minute walk into the nearby village up a private footpath . The Granary was originally a barn which has been carefully renovated to preserve the original Tuscan architectural features: wooden beams, arched doorways, cotto flooring and charachteristic brick-lattice windows.

The Granary has a total surface area of 40 sq. meters. The arched front entrance leads into the dining area and oak fitted-kitchen. At the rear is a modern bathroom with shower cubicle. A wooden staircase leads up to the bright and spacious double bedroom with double bed. The stairs are quite steep and therefore not suitable for the elderly or disabled. An arched doorway leads from the kitchen into the spacious veranda for outdoor dining. The veranda opens onto the private low-walled patio furnished with deck-chairs for relaxation.
The surrounding area
Molin del Resco is 35 km form Florence on the slopes of the Pratomagno mountain range. This is an area of breathtaking natural beauty, excellent local cuisine and where towns and villages are unspoilt by mass tourism. It is also an ideal location for visiting the most important Tuscan cultural centres such as Siena, Arezzo, San Giminiano, the Chianti towns or why not try the thermal baths, only an hours drive away. A car is essential for a stay at Molin del Resco as the local town does not have adequate transport links. However, if you don't like driving into the cities you can leave your car in the nearby town of Figline where there is a very good train service to Florence, Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto and many other destinations.
