With three thousand hours of sunshine a year, Fuerteventura is the closest Canary Island to the African coast with only 100km separating the "Punta la Entallada" from Cape Juby in Morocco. It is the largest of all the Canary Islands, but also the least developped in terms of tourism. The weather conditions here are very similar to Florida and Mexico, which are on the same altitude, making this the ideal holiday location, being a mere 4 hour flight from the UK

It's miles and miles of broad sandy beaches and golden yellow sand dunes make Fuerteventura the ideal holiday resort for everyone. Water sports are abundant here. Every year surfers, windsurfers and divers arrive on the Island and during July Fuerteventura is host to the P.W.A world windusrfing speed and slalom event at Sotovento in the south 

In general the island remains relatively undeveloped and a great destination for families and couples as it tends to be quieter than the other Canary Islands. However, there is a large water park at Corralejo in the north of the Island and there is plenty of sea life for budding fisherman.

Villa Golf y Mar is located on the 5* golf rersort on Costa Caleta adjacent (2kms) to the small town of the resort of El Castillo where shops and restaurants are available in abundance. Diving and windsurfing are popular in the protected bay, and dolphins and whales can be spotted further out to sea. The marina/port area is an interesting venue for an early evening drink, and boat hire can be obtained here.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The house is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a east facing garden, a east facing patio area, a east facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The house is right beside golf.

Close to the house you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, fishing, walking, cycling, tennis, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the house you will find wind surfing, horse riding.

alison says: "We knew the area so that was an advantage. The property was not very well equipped. Only 4 of everthing with crockery and we were 5. Towel rail fell off, curtain rail loose. Basically it was a rental property that could do with a bit of an update and a bit of looking after."
