The beach is definitely the main attraction, where you can practice sailing, volley ball beach, aerobic beach and Windsurfing. There is also a Glass-bottom boat departures from Blanes beach several times a day and ship cruises to other coast towns. For those who love fresh fish I recommend them to go to the Fish Market, where you want get fish directly caught from the fishermen. Blanes has also a Produce Market Municipal Market and Artisan Fairs. The Botanic Gardens are known internationally to be one of the best in Europe. Blanes also helds the International Fireworks Contest, which gathers people from around the world. Finally, we can also find Internet Cafes, Restaurants/Tapas Bar, Shopping Mall,Cinemas and Theatres and Night Clubs for those who want to extend their night entertainment.

Keith says: "This was our first time booking an apartment online in this way, and were unsure how it would work out - we were not dissappointed. The apartment was spotless and faultless. It is new, which probably helps. It is in a quiet area, but with some restuarants a 5 min walk away. The better restuarants are about 20 minutes walk away. The best good value restuarant we found was Sant Antoni near the pier - they couldn't have treated us better - and we aren't big spenders! The owner of the apartment was there to meet us when we arrived, though we had to phone her to meet us on the street and guide us in. We were too busy touring the area (which is beautiful) to make use of the pool, but it looked fine. There is secure parking for cars. There is a TV - nice if you speak Spanish! The apartment is fine for a couple - it might be a bit of a squeeze for more as the 2nd bed is a sofa bed in the living room. Blanes town was quiet during weekdays when we were there (May) - the beach was sparsly populated even though the weather was great. There is more of a buzz at the weekends when the crowds pour out from Barcelona. There are plenty of "toursist menu" restuarants and quite good shopping. It might be a bit quiet for those looking for nightlife and casinos - nearby Lloret de Mar is better if that is what you want - we didn't. "
