The Casita, shares interesting sub-tropical gardens with the owner's traditional farmhouse Cortijo Nuevo and EL APARTAMENTO. The latter is also available for rentals (Ref: 1787) so possible to rent both homes allowing groups of 4/8 travellers maximum.



The Cortijo is nicely designed so each property has privacy and ample outdoor space. As well as many shared areas; various patios and benches, BBQs & fountains to relax by.
In season pick citrus fruits, avocados and custard apples for breakfast. Lounge by the Swimming Pool (shared only with any occupants of El Apartamento) - perfect spot to chill out after busy day sightseeing or relaxing on any number of unspolit beaches on this Granada Coastline.

PETS ALLOWED, by prior arrangement. Two waggy dogs, Ben and Jerry live on site.


 

The Casita is comfortably furnished, an eclectic mix of modern and rustic/antique, not simply a spartan 'holidaylet' or bog standard modern apartment.
Extras to make it feel more like home include ADSL laptop point, DVD's, prints, videos, books and fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare and cook meals.

Also new 2008, Multi-language satellite television system - 100's of channels + BSKYB family package.

The landscaped and illuminated gardens are an oasis, even in the dry Summer season. They provide the necessary protection against the sun - terraces and seating areas in both sun or shade.


Probably the best climate in mainland Europe - averaging over 320 sunny days a year. Snow & frosts very rare on the coast - possible to grow bananas, sugar cane and papaya on the Costa Tropical!


On arrival you will find beds made and complementary WELCOME food/wine pack in the fridge.

Nearest beaches, shops, tapas bars and restaurants 3kms. away in the bustling market town of Motril, including large hypermarket and daily indoor market. Cinema, theatre & new Bullring! Motril a working town rather than tourist resort remains very Spanish and is busy year round, ideal for longer Winter breaks - when most resort towns seem to close down!
Fine road network making excursions to GRANADA, LAS ALPUJARRAS, LECRIN VALLEY, SEVILLE, ALMERIA, SIERRA NEVADAS, MALAGA, CABO DE GATA, ALMUNECAR & NERJA easy and practical.

Also good base for property searches in the area many agents and Lawyers in Motril - many puchasers stay here - laptop facility useful.

Couple of restaurants and small bars, 10 minute walk in Puntalon - but, really need to centre on Motril town & Port for everyday needs.

With charcoal BBQ, gas paellera, fridge, cold water sink - equipped for 6 travellers. Adjacent new swimming pool terrace - use 24/7 - fully illuminated, walled & private with loungers and seating. PLEASE NOTE - the Double bedroom is separate & accessed directly from the front terrace ( not connected by corridor to the living room ). The Casita has three different entrances - quirky layout! Reason more suitable for couples rather than goups of 4. Portable air con unit in the bedroom (May/Oct), cooling fans for Summer, electric radiators, gas fire & duvets for Winter - no central heating. Pets Welcome, the owners 2 friendly dogs (Ben & Jerry ) live on site - snoozing in the sun most days! CAR ESSENTIAL.

The cottage comprises 1 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the Living Room. This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cottage has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use.

The cottage has video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 3 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this cottage.

The cottage is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, a balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The cottage is right beside swimming.

Close to the cottage you will find a beach, sailing, fishing, climbing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find boat hire, wind surfing.

Skiing/snowboarding in the Sierra Nevadas (Dec-April) 25 mins.NE from Granada.

GRANADA CITY, not just the Alhambra Palace & Generalife also Cathederal & Albayzin district.

Alison says: "Casa la pequena, is a beautiful property, set within the most fantastic gardens. The property has everything you would need to make your holiday just perfect...from the basics to the unexpected ie a blender which can crush your ice to make the perfect margheritas, and a mosquito net around the bed to protect you from those nightime beasties. The dogs Ben & Jerry are absolutley adorable, and are a pleasure to have around. The property is set in the perfect location, as its only a 10 -15 min drive to the beach...depending which one you go to (we liked Salobrena). Granada is just an hour away, and the directions to the Alhambra Palace are easy and hassle free to follow. The Sierra Nevadas are also easy to get to from Casa la pequena. Dont really want to recommend this place to anyone, as we are planning to return next year, and the more people that go the harder it will be to book our slot. "
