Casa Caballos is the perfect setting for a rural Spanish Andalucian holiday. Whether that's sunning yourself by our pool, with it's stunning views across the valley to Iznájar Lake, or enjoying tranquillity of the olive groves and the white villages.

Casa Caballos is typical Andalucian farmhouse set in four acres of it’s own land. We have sympathetically restored the farmhouse and created the two holiday apartments for rental. Both have been tastefully and comfortably furnished, with log burning stoves for the winters nights and private patios for the long summer evenings. Should you be seeking solace from the busy world, the apartments have been distanced to provide privacy for all.

The house is situated between Iznájar Lake, Montefrio, Priego de Cordoba and historic Loja (click on "Floor Plan" above to see where we are in the map). Just an hour from Malaga airport, the coast and Granada, we are ideally located to explore the Malaga and Granada provinces. The local area is packed with things to do from hiking, skiing, bird watching to even the more extreme climbing and mountain biking.

We positively encourage families with young children. We have two ourselves and know how difficult finding child friendly accommodation can be. Our pool has a toddler’s section (also perfect for non-swimming adults). We have a purpose built play area and plenty of toys. On request we can provide cots, highchairs and sterilizing equipment. Baby-sitting can also be arranged on a limited basis so that you can enjoy the local nightlife and fiestas.

Shopping and groceries are easily available in either Zagra or Ventorres de San Jose, our neighbouring villages. There are also over ten bars and restaurants to choose from.

 

The Farmhouse is a luxurious 3 bedroomed family house. With a typical Andalucian layout, the house is centered around the vine covered courtyard, ideal for al fresco dining or just lazing in a hammock.

The three large bedrooms, one with a massive en-suite, one with a stunning terrace with views to the lake, can comfortably accommodate 7 people. (cots and extra beds can also be added).

The vaulted double height lounge and attached games room has satelite TV and a DVD player with many films for all the family.

The kitchen and dining room come fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and a large dining table for the whole family. 

We have a wonderful 11 meter pool with a separate safe shallow area for kids and non swimmers. It's above the house for privacy and has its own 100 square meter patio. There's even an area for the kids! There are also 3 and half acres of land to explore. We have an orchard, about 100 olive trees and a small wood further up the hill. There are no boundary fences so you are free to wander.

We have our own horses and donkeys and can arrange a trek in the local countryside.

We welcome famillies with children and have our own horses and donkeys for trekking

The farm house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin and 2 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 9 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The farm house has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use.

The farm house has television and home cinema with video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this farm house.

The farm house is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a east facing garden, a west facing patio area, a west facing balcony, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The farm house is right beside swimming, walking, horse riding.

Close to the farm house you will find fishing, climbing, tennis, a sports center, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the farm house you will find sailing, boat hire, flying, skiing/snowboarding, golf, a zoo, a themepark.

We have our own horses and donkeys available for expirienced riders.
