Villa Elies ('The Olive Tree Villa') is on the beautiful island of Andros in the Cyclades Islands, Greece. The villa is nestled on the hillside, just a few hundred meters above the sea, close to the islands many lovely beaches and the picturesque seaside town of Batsi with its sandy beach, many bars, restaurants and shops.

The villa is in a very quite location, set in 2000 sq.m. of own land, with wonderful aegean sea views, many olive trees and its own natural spring water, so it is the ideal place for a relaxing break but just a few minutes away from all the islands attractions.

The island is perfect for those who want a more authentic Greek experience (most holiday makers are from Greece).
 

The villa comprises of an open plan living area, leading into a fully fitted modern kitchen and dining area, with doors leading to extensive outside patio areas. There are 3 double bedrooms each with balconies or terrace and all with sea views. The villa has 2 bathrooms (one with bath/shower and one with shower).

Although the villa is of modern construction and equipped with modern facilities, it is traditionally styled with whitewashed / stone walls, blue woodwork and stone floors throughout.

Villa Elies is located next to one other similar styled villa, at the end of a 'cul-de-sac' (so no passing traffic) and hundreds of meters from any other properties.
 

Andros is just a peaceful ferry ride from Athens, via the nearby port of Rafina.

Immediately outside the arrivals terminal you can get the coach to the nearby port of Rafina for around 3 Euro per person (under 6's free).

Many ferry operators in Rafina port offer the 2hr 20 min. ferry ride to Andros (Gavrio) for around 12-15 Euro per person (under 6's free). See www.gtp.gr for details.

On arrival in the port of Gavrio, Andros our local Agent will help you get organised (keys, car hire etc) and then personally escort you the short drive to the Villa.

To make the most of the many secluded island beaches and lovely mountain villages we would recommend you hire a car on arrival in the port of Gavrio.

 

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 3 double and 1 cots. The property also has 1 single sofa bed located in the 'Zed Bed' store in bedroom cupboard. This gives room for up to 7 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside walking.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, swimming, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, cycling, mountain biking, historic sites, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find a museum.

Tina says: "The photos of the villa just don't do it justice. The rooms were much bigger than we expected, especially the downstairs bedroom, and the place was well appointed. There were 7 of us and it was plenty of space for us all. The views are fantastic and the sunsets are amazing. We elected not to feed the cats, who got the message after a day or two. We had a 5 year old cat lover in our party and they kept her occupied for hours on end. We didn't hire a car and got about by walking down to the village each day and then getting taxis back from wherever we were (ask for "Thleva" and the drivers will know where you want to go). We did this with a buggy and for the most part the roads and paths were accessable, although in parts they were very steep! It takes about 20 minutes to walk into Batsi, and the same to walk to the local beach. We wanted our holiday to be a real getaway from it all, and that's exactly what we got. We went in September, at the end of the season, so there were no crowds anywhere. We had no problems while we were there. The locals were friendly and accomodating and we soon found the restaurants which served the best food (we loved the Dolphin)."
