Villa Adakani (Ada Kani derived from Turkish words meaning view of the Islands)
The Villa is situated in one of the most idyllic locations on the Bodrum Peninsula. Built on the hillside with views over Cukurbuk Bay, Gumusluk and the Greek Islands of Kos, Kalimnos and Leros, it is a property ideal for those seeking a location with breathtaking views that constantly change as the day progresses.
Part of an attractive hillside village development called Karya Evleri, the villa has been designed to integrate fully with the surrounding olive groves complete with landscaped gardens and terraces all looking towards the sea and the islands.
Situated about 3 miles away from the well-known fishing village of Gumusluk, and about 5 miles to both Turgutreis and Yalikavak. Bodrum is about 14 miles away and can be reached by car in 30 to 40 minutes. The villa is ideally placed for those who would like to explore the Bodrum Peninsula, with all resorts being accessible within 45 minutes drive. The local bus service (dolmus) is probably the best that you could find in any country and relies on a frequent minibus service with pick-up times in peak periods being every 15-20 minutes. If you are not using a car, then a 5 minute walk will take you to the nearest dolmus stop and from there you can travel to Bodrum or get off In Gumusluk. In Gumusluk there is a further connection to Turgutreis and also a taxi rank for travel elsewhere. In Bodrum, a large bus station provides transport to practically every area within turkey and here you can get on the large air-conditioned inter city buses which travel to places like Izmir and Istanbul.
A 15 minute walk will take you from the villa down to the small beach and waterfront area which possesses a jetty for sheltered swimming and also numerous sun beds and parasols. There is also a bar and restaurant providing refreshments throughout the day.



 

The Inside of the villa has been furnished in a modern style with many home comforts provided. There is a CD player / stereo radio system in the kitchen area and a full size TV with attached DVD player. A Hotbird Satellite system is also installed giving access to a few hundred European and Asian channels. There is also a growing library of music CDs and film DVDs which are provided for those rare occasions when you might want to sit inside. There is also a further TV which can be found in the master bedroom and is connected to a DVD player.
On the upstairs landing there is a PC computer workstation complete with Win XP, USB ports, CD Writer and colour printer. A good selection of software has also been provided including MS Office , Autoroute Europe, Paint Shop Pro and many other programmes. (No Internet access at present) For those people with digital cameras, it should be possible to download your pictures, edit them, and then save on to a CD ready to free up more space on a memory card. For those budding authors there are word processing programs to write your latest masterpiece.
Although there is no telephone provided, most people nowadays pack a mobile phone. The mobile telephone reception at the villa is very good and is impressive throughout the peninsula. (nearby Greek mobile phone networks can be used to save costs)

The fitted kitchen has a good selection of cupboards with all the utensils, crockery and accessories needed to accommodate a family of eight. Cooking is all electric with two hotplates and a combination grill / oven with an extractor hood mounted above, a microwave oven and toaster. A large fridge freezer has plenty of room to cater for the chilled drinks and salads which will become an important part of your diet. There is also a chilled water dispenser which is invaluable for the summer months. An automatic washing machine is also provided in the kitchen and along with an ironing board and iron allows you to cut down on the amount of clothes that you have to pack. A vacuum cleaner is another addition which aids in keeping the wooden laminate floors clean. A selection of adjustable fans are provided throughout the villa and can be moved from room to room as the need arises. The two main upstairs bedrooms are also fitted with air-conditioning units to further aid your comfort during the summer months.

The property comprises four double bedrooms, two bathrooms ,one on each floor, one with a fitted shower cubicle and the other wih a full-size bath with shower above. There is a fitted kitchen with fridge-freezer, automatic washing machine, grill / oven, double hob hotplates, and breakfast bar. A large lounge has an open fireplace with L-shaped seating unit, dining area with table and six chairs, large TV with satellite feed and DVD player. The downstairs covered terraced area is enclosed with a wrought iron surround and features a large patio table with 8 chairs and barbeque oven. The upstairs open terrace features superb views down to the beach and jetty with sun loungers and a wooden built-in cushioned seating unit to laze away the hours.
The shared swimming pool is only 2 minutes walk away and is usually open from May to October. The automatic pool-maintenance system is continually operational (no shut-down period) with the advantage that the pool is open and accessible 24 hours a day with the evenings having underwater floodlights. There is also a small kiddies paddling pool area attached. Sun loungers and parasols are provided with a pool-side bar providing snacks and drinks.  

A CAR is recommended although not essential. This part of the peninsular is generally quite easy for driving as the roads are not very busy (even in the summer months) and there are so many places to explore. The Bus stop is only a 10 minute walk and the services are very regular. You can also walk to a couple of shops selling groceries and will probably take you 15 minutes. The on-site staff however will deliver bread and change over the large water containers on a daily basis if needed. As the villa is situated in an elevated position many of the walkways down to the beach & waterfront involve navigating a series of zigzag paths and steps. This is usually not a problem for most people but would not suit the elderly or anyone with walking difficulties. (if not using a car). The villa may also be unsuitable for very young children if unsupervised due to the unfenced high walls in the vicinity and also the top terrace in the villa which has a seating unit built into a high wall.
When making an initial booking we will confirm your booking request and then hold it for SEVEN DAYS without payment. During this time you can search around for the best flight deals. Only when you have confirmed your flights do you then need to process your deposit. As we are flexible about changeover days please email us for further details on changeover times if your required day of arrival coincides with a previous guests departure.
Although the villa is classed as non-smoking we do allow smoking to take place in the outside terrace areas which are well ventilated. This way we ensure complete satisfaction for all our guests.



 

The villa is set in a slightly elevated position and so enjoys superb views of the surrounding coast with a vista stretching from Gumusluk bay and the islands of Kos, Kalimnos and Leros.

The villa comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 4 double. . This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio. A computer is also available for your use.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, a balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, sailing, boat hire, wind surfing, walking, a food shop.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, water skiing, fishing, historic sites, a restaurant.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find climbing, cycling, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, golf, scuba diving, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas.

The nearest village: Gumusluk is only a 5 minute drive away and is famous for its fish restaurants.

The villa is ideal for exploring the Bodrum peninsula with all areas within a 45 minute drive.

till says: "The villa is very spacious and clean with the most amazing views of all the islands. We sat on the lower floor balcony where we had all our meals because the views are so stunning. We had peace and quiet and all the locals were very friendly. The pool is very stunning and also very clean and their is a small snack bar. The villa is very well equipped so we could listen to cds and also watch the tv. Their is penty of books and games to use if you fancy a day around the villa. Their are supermarkets nearby that sell fantastic fresh bread daily. If you want stunning view and total relaxation then this is definetly the place. It was so nice that my partner decided to stay another week and we had allready been their two weeks. "
