Like many people who have fallen in love with this island and its unique way of life, we decided to buy a property on Ibiza and following various trips to and from the island fell upon Casa Alegria. The first time we walked in here it felt like home and everyone that has come here says the same thing. Casa Alegria (Alegria means Joy or Happiness!) was built in 1969 and was one of the first houses to be built on this road (Punta Blanca). It is one of the original “hippy” houses in Ibiza and, over the years, has had many guises, including at one stage a "spiritual" hotel.



 

The location is one of the finest points of the house - do take the time to discover the immediate area - go through the main gate and turn left: you will see Niu Blau beach through the trees at the end of the road.

Leave the house, turn right onto the road ,and follow it keeping the houses to your right, and once you walk through the woods at the end of the road you have a wonderful cliff top walk to Cala Pada beach with its ferries to Formentera, Sta Eulalia and Ibiza Town

The most important thing to do while here at Casa Alegria is to relax - it always takes a few days to unwind and get used to the Ibicencan vibe but the magic will happen - just wait and see how you feel having been here for a couple of nights. Sit by the pool in the twilight and light some candles. Listen to the birds. You can just hear the waves if you listen carefully….

 

The resturant capital of Ibiza- Santa Eulalia is 5 mins drive, and the cosmopolitan Eivissa (Ibiza Town) with its reknowned bars and clubs is a further 15 min drive.

We do recommend hiring a car to maximise your stay.

There is 3mb open network WIFI enabled internet access in the house. If you wish to use this facility please bring your WIFI enabled laptop or PDA with you! If the guests number 12, then 2 sleep in hotel quality rollaway beds which are portable.

The house comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 2 twin and 1 cots, 5 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 12 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The house has 5 bathrooms and 5 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the house cool.

The house has television video, dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 12 in the living room and 12 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this house.

The house is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The house is right beside a beach, swimming, fishing, walking, scuba diving.

Close to the house you will find sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, cycling, horse riding, historic sites, a museum, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the house you will find flying, golf, a theatre/cinema, a themepark.
