Islantilla is situated on the Costa de la Luz near the towns of Lepe and Isla Christina, both towns easily reached by a new motorway linking Faro and Seville.

Islantilla is the more modern side of the seaside town, La Antilla which is well known for it's quite unspoilt blue flag beach.

Vista Hermosa is located just above the main town in the golf resort area with direct views over the well known Islantilla Golf Course.

The golf course itself is a Championship standard course and has 27 holes. It has hosted many high profile tournaments such as the Tour Espana and rounds of the Volvo PGA.

Our house is situated on a new private gated development called Vista Hermosa which was recently built in 2004. The house is only a few minutes walk from the Golf Course Club House which has a fantastic restaurant open to non members and just across from the clubhouse is the Islantilla Golf Resort Hotel with its own health club, bar and restaurant.

 

The house has three bedrooms and faces directly over the 7th fairway of the golf course. One of the twin rooms is situated on the ground floor with patio doors directly into the garden and it's own en-suite bathroom (ideal for anyone taking relations or an extra family)

The upstairs master bedroom is large and spacious with the second twin room having it's own roof terrace for those requiring that extra bit of privacy.

All bedrooms have built in wardrobes and there is also a utility room which can be used to store hire bikes, buggies or beach chairs if needed.

It is fully furnished to a high modern standard with solid wood garden furniture and 2 large reed sun loungers.

The development has been very sympathetically designed with the local architechture in mind.

There are communal areas within the development including 2 large swimming pools with shallow ends for young children - please note that the pools are officially open from June 15th - September 15th - with both pools having lifeguards from 2007. It is worth mentioning that the pools are kept clean all year round and can be used as early as May. This does depend on the weather and it must be noted that lifeguards will not be in attendance until June 15th.

 

The Championship standard Islantilla 27 hole golf course is open to non members. Anyone wishing to play will need a valid handicap certificate preferably with either a Congu or EGU affiliation - please check with each course before you travel.

If you are looking to play golf in the area there are another 3 courses nearby including the Isla Canella, El Rompido and Nuevo Portil. All courses are of an equally high standard and open all year round.

The beauty of playing in this area is that even at peak season it is relatively quiet. There are days off season when the courses are almost completely empty.

If you are interested in playing more than one course we have contacts in the area that can arrange reduced green fees, tee off times and multi course golf packages with travel between courses and professional tuition if required.

The house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the Living Room. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The house has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the house cool.

The house has television dvd.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

This is a non-smoking house

The house is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a west facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, panoramic views, interesting views, a tennis court. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The house is right beside swimming, golf.

Close to the house you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, tennis, a sports center, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the house you will find historic sites, a museum, a zoo, a themepark.

Isla Canella, El Rompido and Nuevo Portil golf courses are all within 20 minutes from the house.

Seville - 1 hour, Donana National Park - 40 minutes, Zoo Marine - 1 hour,

kevin says: "A lovely property sited in a beautiful area. The villa was clean, very well equipped and in excellent condition. A fully functional kitchen with everything you would expect. A dishwasher and washing machine make the essential day to day chores easy going. A laundry drying room allows you to keep the wet washing out of the rest of the villa while it airs. Each of the bedrooms had a fan to keep the temperature pleasant. There were no problems sleeping during the warm Spanish nights! The view to the rear of the property is over the golf course so you are never disturbed. Having lunch while sitting on the patio or just being out on the upstairs sundeck was a real pleasure. In general, the surroundings make for a very restful vacation. The Vista Hermosa complex is well laid out with two pools that were never crowded during our visit. We enjoyed our time here very much and definitely did not want to leave at the end of our stay. "
