Welcome to our luxurious apartment new in late 2006.

The apartment is on the first floor and comprises a living room, kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms (each with a double bed).

The main feature is the striking sea and mountain views from the huge roof solarium which gives you a large outdoor living area, where you can relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the beautiful sunsets after a hard day on the beach.

Alternatively there is a balcony outside the living room where you can sit and dine whilst overlooking the well-kept garden. The apartment is fully air-conditioned (with heating for the winter months).

It is furnished to a luxurious standard with comfortable good quality beds, 2 leather sofas. LCD TV with DVD's. also plays Cd's.

The bedrooms have built in wardrobes and bedside cabinets; the main bedroom has a Juliet balcony with stunning mountain views.

The kitchen has everything you need, if you wish to cook there is an oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer washing machine. With a full range of cutlery, utensils, plates, glasses, cups, saucepans and much more. The bathroom has a large shower, toilet and sink, with a fitted bathroom cabinet.

This apartment has feature spiral stairs, so may not be suitable for the less mobile.

We furnished the apartment for ourselves to enjoy, so we are sure you will enjoy it too, we believe we have thought of everything you might need, including deck chairs, sun shades and games for the beach.

Sit back enjoy a cold glass of your favourite drink and watch the world go by from the balcony.

 

Isla Plana is a typical Spanish resort, enjoyed for holidays by the Spanish themselves, this is why we chose to purchase an apartment in the area, you can enjoy a Spanish holiday as the Spanish themselves do and at the same value they enjoy.

Isla Plana is a small village but it has all the essentials such as a bank with a cash machine, a bakery with fresh bread daily and pastries your diet will not thank you for, a newsagent with English papers and a Pharmacy with a Chemist who speaks perfect English, these are all within easy walking distance. We will send you a map of the area with all facilities marked once you have booked.

The sea front in Isla Plana has recently been refurbished, giving a modern but still Spanish feel, there is plenty of space to sit on the terrace of the local bar and enjoy a drink whilst watching the sun set over the sea.

There is a choice of several restaurants all within walking distance of the apartment, we recommend the nearest, La Chara for their 4 course set menu at a set price of only 20 Euros including a bottle of wine or a large beer! (Is this the real reason we bought here?). El nono has an impressive setting and a high quality menu.

The local camp site has a huge pool which is fed by thermally heated springs this can be enjoyed for just a few euros any time of year. This is within walking distance of the apartment.

For the more energetic, there is swimming, windsurfing, diving at all levels, sailing, boat cruises from Mazarron including trips to see the Dolphins in the wild in the Mediterranean.

There is golf near by, bikes may be hired in the main town, there are tennis courts in the village.

The area around Isla Plana has crystal clear waters, there are many Scuba dviing schools in the area, have a trial dive whilst you are here. There are also wind surfing and other watersport facilities nearby.

We recommend a trip over the mountains to Cartagena, this is a historic naval port and has boat trips around the Harbour, an international shopping district as well as museums and other attractions.

You can also explore the Sierra Espuna national park which is a short drive away. --The Sierra Espuna mountain range on the foremost eastern part of the Cordillera Betica, virtually at the point where the the mountains connect with the coastal plains.
A national reserve park with wild herds of Sardinian Mouflon and African Aoudad running free, The summers are hot and dry as the provence of Murcia is one of the driest in Spain, although the peaks of the sierras normally receive 6 inches of snow in Winter,the lower parts of the Espuna are very mild in the winter (tee shirt weather in the sunshine)

Locally there are thermal springs, where man made baths have been dug, you may use these for free at any time of the year, these are hidden in the countryside but we have provided directions in the apartment. Local towns also have spa pools fed by th thermal waters.

The local La Azohia hotel can be used for their 3 large pools and facilities, as a special treat, they also have a spa.

In Murcia there is an Aqua park and zoo less than an hours drive away.

Any time of year the area has so much to do, we have yet to see all the sites our selves.

In the apartment we have provided a guide to the many attractions of the area. 

The motorway by-passing Cartagena has recently opened so your journey from Murcia airport is even quicker and more direct.

Murcia airport is small and friendly and now has many budget airlines flying to it Murcia, (San Javier) is only 45 minutes drive from Isla Plana, or for a wider choice of flights Alicante is only 1 ½ hours’ drive to Isla Plana.

There is a choice of flights. These include:

Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) - regular low cost flights to Murcia from Glasgow (Prestwick), Liverpool, London (Luton), London (Stansted) and Nottingham (East Midlands).
Monarch (www.flyMonarch.com) Luton to Alicante.
Easyjet (www.easyjet.com) - regular scheduled services to Murcia from Bristol. Also offer flights to Alicante from Belfast, Bristol, Liverpool, London (Gatwick, Luton and Stansted), Newcastle, Nottingham (East Midlands).
Flybe (www.flybe.com) - regular cheap flights to Murcia and Alicante from Birmingham, Southampton. Also offer flights to Alicante from Exeter.
EUJet (www.eujet.com) - regular cheap flights to Murcia from Kent.
Jet2 (www.jet2.com) - regular flights to Murcia from Leeds Bradford, Manchester

It is possible to pre-book a local greeting service from either airport if you don’t wish to drive. (However we do recommend a car hire to ensure you gain the most from your holiday)

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 2 double. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television dvd. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a west facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The apartment is right beside a beach.

Close to the apartment you will find swimming, sailing, fishing, walking, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, scuba diving, a museum, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, climbing, cycling, tennis, a sports center, historic sites, a zoo, shopping areas, a themepark.
