The Apartment offers 2 double bedrooms (to sleep up to 5 people) and with its unrivalled location, it offers stunning views of Kalkan Bay.
It has an excellent poolside, ground floor location next to one of 2 large, impressive swimming pools. Sun loungers are provided for sole use of guests. The Emir, which has been built to an extremely high standard by Aslan (owner of the excellent Asfiya Hotel nearby) is surrounded by spacious sun terraces, landscaped gardens and has 24 hr security and English speaking reception. The Apartments 'meet & greet' service is also provided by Asfiya's management company and includes a complementary welcome hamper on arrival for guest convenience.

Bedroom one is large and spacious with king size bed, wardrobes and dressing table. Doors open out onto private balcony. Superb views of Kalkan Bay.
Bedroom two has twin beds (can be made as a double), wardrobes and dressing table. A/C throughout.

There are two large, fully tiled bathrooms, one on each floor, both with spacious walk-in power showers, sink, mirrors and WC. This makes it ideal for couples sharing.

There is also a fantastically equipped kitchen with stainless steel oven, hob & extractor fan. Equipment inc fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher & microwave. Includes new crockery & utensils, electricals such as juicer, ice crusher etc.Worktops are solid granite.

The light & airy lounge and dining area are tastefully decorated and have a feature limestone wall. There are comfortable sofas, LCD TV, satellite & DVD. An attractive spiral staircase leads to the upper floor. French doors lead onto the private patio.

The king size bedroom is extremely spacious featuring handmade furniture and king size bed. It also has a furnished private balcony with stunning uninterrupted sea views. There is also a light and airy second, twin bedroom which can be made as a double. Bedlinen and towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels. Twice weekly cleaning and linen change is included. 

The apartment is built to an exceptionally high standard. Antique marble flooring is standard throughout and air conditioning is provided in all rooms (not just the bedrooms!) This can be used to heat as well as cool. The apartment is non smoking in all internal areas.

The upper floor is reached by an internal solid beech spiral staircase. The apartment complex is bordered by 'green land' thus allowing full, unobstructed sea views from both ground and first floors.

The apartment's electric water heater ensures that hot water is constantly available. The Emir apartments also benefit from a back up electricity generator to guard against power cuts. There is also a car park for guests who wish to hire a car in Kalkan though its genuine central location means this is not necessary.
 

The attractive, stone built apartment is located on the ground floor, the most enviable position of all, directly in front of the large, impressive swimming pool. The uninterrupted views of Kalkan Bay are spectacular. Wide French doors open onto a spacious private patio, where you can take an al Fresco breakfast or simply enjoy the early morning sunshine. The patio enjoys direct access to the Emir’s largest, private pool, which is surrounded by spacious sun terraces with sun loungers and parasols provided for the sole use of guests. An additional pool is also provided. The Emir also benefits from 24 hour security and features private, landscaped gardens with many stunning fragrant bushes, shrubs and vibrant bougainvillea. The private patio is a perfect place to sip that relaxing evening drink and enjoy watching the sun set gently over Kalkan Bay.

Coast/Beach
Kalkans pebble beach is 10 min walk. Patara beach is 20 min drive. There are also many other small sandy coves within 5 mins drive ie. Kaputas beach which is a beautiful secluded cove. Kalkan harbour also provides gulet trips around the bays for relaxing days out.

There are also many beach clubs close by, which offer free taxi services. Kalkan has 5 beach clubs, including Kalamar beach club and are excellent, with sunbathing platforms, direct sea access & great lunches at on site restaurants.
Travel
In the summer months you can fly to Dalaman where you can either hire a car or I can arrange a private transfer for you. It takes about 1 hr 45 mins to reach Kalkan but is a very pretty journey with breathtaking views. This is improving all the time as new roads are built. A tunnel is to be completed during the 2006 season, cutting journey time.

There is room for 5 in the living room and 5 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The apartment is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared south facing swimming pool, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Close to the apartment you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, climbing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, scuba diving, historic sites, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find horse riding.

As three friends in Turkey for the very first time, we just wanted to chill out and enjoy good company, fab food and a great location and I'm happy to say we succeeded in all three. The apartment has been great even in the heat of the day and Kalkan itself is a lovely village - the fantastic restaurants kept us busy in the evening for the whole week! We're looking forward to coming again, hopefully in the not too distant future. A week just isn't long enough! "
