Hi. Were Stephen & Tina and we very much hope to be hosting your stay in Cyprus. Its a land of sunshine, friendly people (80% of whom speak English), wine and good food. On our first visit, we fell in love with it and this house and development. It was the first property we saw and although we looked at others, the quality of this development shone through. (Pafilia are winners of Jaguar and Mercedes awards for Best Cypriot Development and Property). Ilios 2 opened in 2005 and and we think that this is their best development of 35 apartments and terraced villas/town houses.

Weve had holiday cottages in the UK and prided ourselves in offering quality, highly commended accommodation. Here we wanted a house rather than an apartment, so we were attracted to this terraced villa in a quiet area, which faces the large communal pool. Were only 20 minutes from Paphos airport, but theres little over flying (none at night) and Larnaca Airport is only 1 ½ hours away. The nearest tavernas 6 or 7 minute walk away, the restaurant district and the sea are 15 minutes and the Harbour 20 minutes. Its a level walk to the restaurants, sea and Blue Flag beaches. Whilst a hire car will give you more flexibility, its not essential as a large food supermarket is a 6 minute walk and a general supermarket just 10 minutes away.

Ideally we prefer bookings that start and end on a Saturday , but we try to be flexible and if you need to arrive on a different day, do enquire..


 

Aurora Villa has two double bedrooms, the master has a KING sized bed and opens onto a balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the pool. The second bedroom has two large single beds and both rooms have large fitted wardrobes, have free air conditioning/heating and ceiling fans (some properties charge extra). Weve invested in quality, comfortable beds linen and towels are provided. We have insect screens on all the major windows, so in the warm weather you can have the windows open without fear of mosquitoes. The bathroom has a bath/shower and a heater for winter stays.

The ground floor is also air conditioned/heated and has an open plan lounge, dining area with Danish designer furniture. Theres satellite TV, DVD player, with DVDs and a radio/CD player with a variety of CDs. Theres also a separate WC/cloakroom on the ground floor (very handy when you have a full house). The lounge opens onto a good sized patio, which faces the large pool and has a table and chairs, ideal for al fresco eating. There are poolside showers and toilets. We have an exceptionally well equipped kitchen with a cooker, 4 ring hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer and a washing machine, however eating out is cheap and the food delicious, so many people dont bother to cook. Theres also an iron, ironing board and a hairdryer. Cyprus is a low crime area, but for peace of mind, weve also installed a safe for passports and valuables. Weve tried to think of everything and make it a non-smoking home from home.

There are loungers and umbrellas by the pool that are always in the sun, but we are also fortunate in having a balcony and a patio that are shaded from around noon, so you can stay outdoors when it gets too hot to sit in the sun and in Cyprus, it does get hot!

Our cleaning company can provide a welcome pack for around €20, hires cots, high chairs and stair gates for nominal sums and we can set this up. We can also arrange a taxi from the airport for €30.

EASY CHECKOUT: If no one is coming in immediately after you and our cleaning company can accommodate a later changeover, youre welcome to stay later, although this might incur a small charge to cover costs. If we have another booking, there are lockable showers, toilets and changing rooms, so you can stay by the pool and shower and change before your flight.
 

First of all, travelling around Cyprus is easy as driving is on the left. Also no need for adaptors as the electricity is the same as ours, 240 volts with 13 amp square pin plugs. Theres so much to see and do for all ages swimming, scuba diving, wind surfing, golf, hiking, cycle hire, bowling, skiing and snowboarding. There are water parks, bird parks and animal sanctuaries and you can visit the aquarium, museums, lots of shops, wineries and the huge number of archaeological and historic sites.

Paphos is an attractive, laid back town, and we think it has more restaurants per sq metre than any place on earth and weve yet to have a bad meal in any of them. Whether you want an active or relaxed holiday, in comfortable surroundings, Aurora Villa has everything to offer.

The house comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The house has 1 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the house cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The house has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The house is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared south facing swimming pool, a north facing garden, a north facing patio area, a north facing balcony. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The house is right beside swimming.

Close to the house you will find a beach, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, a zoo, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the house you will find sailing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, skiing/snowboarding, golf.

Visit the Trudos Moutains, & many fascinating archeological sites, plus masses to do for kids

liz & mick says: "This is our third visit to the villa and its just like home from home,we love it. All the amenities in the villa are excellent and the pool is great to cool down in. Just a fifteen minute walk to some raelly good restuarants and the fruit and vegetable suppermarket is five minutes walk where you can get all your provisions. The complex is monitored by security every two hours,but this is a very safe and comfortable area,we have never had any problems. Cant wait to return next year,already booked!!!"
