El Pinar de San Gines is nestled into the hillside, less than 500 metres from the unspoilt beach at La Azohia, with beautiful views over the bay of Mazarron. It is in the southern Costa Calida region of Spain, 10 minutes from Puerto de Mazarron and 20 from Cartagena.

La Azohia itself is situated in a beautiful bay sheltered by surrounding hills and provides great diving, snorkelling, sailing, windsurfing and fishing. The beach stretches around most of the bay and slopes gently into crystal clear waters. This is a typical tranquil fishing village with a scattering of cafes, tapas bars and restaurants and remains largely untouched by tourism.
 

For the more active, historical Cartagena is only 20 minutes away over the hills. In La Azohia there are at least 3 dive centres, fishing, sailing centre, other watersports and areas for walking and cycling.
Nearby (within half an hour) there are plenty of opportunities for golf, all manner of other water sports, tennis, cycling and walking.
There are water parks within an hours drive, numerous beaches along with several National Parks. At Cartagena there is the harbour , many restaurants, the Maritime museum, shopping andn open top bus rides and boat trips. Murcia City is around 1 hour away (very hot in summer).

The apartment at El Pinar has been thoughtfully furnished and is ideal for a relaxing break by the pool, or the nearby beach where we have found the water very pleasant from May to October.
Situated on the first floor, it has a fabulous private roof terrace, which covers the entire apartment below, and is furnished with sunbeds, table, chairs and barbecue, accessed from the living area balcony.

The kitchen is bright and well equipped and the dining table can seat 6 comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin with a pull out bed for a third person.
There is a well-presented bathroom with bath/shower and bidet.

The apartment benefits from hot and cold air conditioning and entertainment is provided by the television and sound system, DVDs, cds, books and games are on hand for your enjoyment. Children are always welcome and a cot and highchair are provided.

The complex is new (opened June 05) this phase opened June 2006.The finishing touches are being done on the latest phases of the complex behind our apartment. This will continue until early 2008. We have found it very minorly intrusive. Out of hours the area is very peaceful.

If you have a larger party or 2 families, our other property A6 ref 11991 is on the same complex.

To summarise, the apartment is ideal for families or a couple or 2, active or otherwise. If you are a party animal this is not for you!
We strongly recommend hiring a car, although collection from the airports can be arranged. If required, we can suggest car hire and airline websites.

 

It is a fully equipped apartment with cold and hot airconditioning and a large roof terrace with views over the bay of Mazarron. The beach is around 5 minutes walk.

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 5 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool.

The apartment has television dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

This is a non-smoking apartment

Pets are welcome
only small dogs. there is no garden. only terrace. 

Not suitable for wheelchairs 

The apartment is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a patio area, a balcony, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The apartment is right beside swimming.

Close to the apartment you will find a beach, fishing, walking, cycling, scuba diving, shopping areas.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find golf, historic sites, a museum.
