Quinta dos Altos Log cabin is a charming fully furnished two bedroom lodge, avalable all year round. It is located in a very peaceful location, with views to the Monchique mountains and far reaching sea views .
It is set within mature gardens of around an acre, with lawns, flowers .shrubs and palm trees. Included within the grounds are a chalet and an attached villa which are also available for rent. There is a large swimming pool shared by the villa and cabins, for the hot summer months, with a poolside bar serving draught beer and cocktails in high season, incorporating a large traditional portuguese barbecue for clients use.The pool is surrounded by terracing with ample sun loungers.There is also a sauna available all year , charged for seperately (see extra charges)
Outside the cabin there is also a small private barbecue.
The cabin has a rustic log burner making it warm and cosy on the cooler evenings, an ideal winter break! Initial logs supplied free of charge, small charge for extra logs if needed. 

The villa is loacted in a small village with traditional portuguese bars and reataurants. The bigger town of Lagos with its many international bars and reataurants is only 3km away. Car hire is not essential as a bus does run from the village and a taxi to town is only 6 euros, but we do recommend it to take advantage of the great sightseeing in the area. The beaches out towards the west are not to be missed! 

If you are looking for a truly tranquil and relaxing holiday then look no further. However, with this you can combine all the activity you want. Locally you can go horse riding, paragliding, fishing ,surfing, the choice is endless. This is a chance to sample the old Portugal combined with all the latest amenities 

There is a five seater jacuzzi and a sauna for clients use.Both these facilities incur an extra charge of 5 euros per person per session for either and must be booked in advance of use. Alternatively they can be booked individually per week at a rate of 30 euros per person either on the booking form or on arrival. There is a poolside bar serving cooled draught beer and cocktails during high season.A large barbecue is also available. A cot and high chair are available for a small supplement.

The cabin comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cabin has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. The cabin has a sauna.

The cabin has television. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The cabin is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The cabin is right beside swimming.

Close to the cabin you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, flying, historic sites, a museum, a zoo, a restaurant.

Malcolm & Sarah says: "What can we say? Just arrived back from a great 10 day break and we can't recommend Quinta Dos Altos highly enough. We rented the 1 bed log cabin - everything you need and more (separate bedroom with comfy double bed, bathroom with good shower, loo and basin + endless hot water, kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, electric kettle toaster, TV, Hi-fi, Wireless Internet Access... we could go on). John, Wendy and Jack made us very welcome and very soon felt like long standing friends. Nothing was too much trouble. If you are expecting 5-Star hotel room luxury, then that isn't Quinta dos Altos (although you could be forgiven for mistaking the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Barbecue and extensive flowered gardens for 5 star). This is a very nice log cabin and represents fantastic value for money. Everthing works fine, Lagos is only a few minutes away by car (and there is a bus route nearby). If we didn't have to work we'd still be there now! We will most CERTAINLY be back to recreate one of our nicest, freiendliest holidays (and we are lucky enough to travel lots, both long and short haul).
