The farmhouse situated in the heart of a conservation area of working family farms and gardens growing fruit and vegetables, herbs and flowers. There are even two vineyards a palm tree nursery and various tree nurseries. The area is called - Les Jardins St. Jacques -which historically were the gardens for the monks of the St.Jacques church supplying produce to the growing conurbation of Perpignan. This is a highly sought after location locally because of its peace and quiet and yet the entrance to Les Jardens St.Jacques is right on the edge of a very attractive side of Perpignan. You can walk to the attractive centre of the city from the house. The majestic mountain - Canigou dominates the horizon and during the day, the gardens are a haven for many types of birds and some exotic species migrate to the farmhouse gardens. Nigh times are very peaceful. Just 10 mins drive from the Mediterranean, 15min from Spain &the Pyrenean foothills, this is an amazingly convenient and lovely spot.

The Catalan farmhouse, which has nearly 4500sqm of gardens is bordered by an Apricot orchard, Olive grove and vine and palm tree nurseries. The house is situated approximately in the centre of a unique conservation area of fruit and vegetable farms and tree and plant nurseries called Les Jardins des St.Jacques. There is a lovely restaurant in walking distance from the farmhouse and 'Les Jardins SJ' is also home to a historic and picturesque village and two, first class vineyards. 

Right on the doorstep of Les Jardins des StJacques is the city of Perpignan. It takes two minutes by car and is a lovely walk from the farmhouse. It is hard to think how anyone would want for more from a city. It is full of sophisticated shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and music clubs. There are many interesting festivals held in the city during the year. The old quarter of the city is home to several multi-cultural food markets and full of fascinating Catalan architecture. The icing on the cake is that almost at every turn, the city is full of exotic palm trees.

This is a truly superb region for any type of holiday you could wish for and at any time of year. Roussillon is the sunniest part of France with app. 320 sunshine days a year with the autumn being a real treat and break from colder parts of Europe. The Med resorts of Canet, Barcares, St.Cyprien and Argeles all with marvellous beaches are all just minutes away. The famous and beautiful Collioure, Ceret and Figueres in Spain are loaded with artistic history. The majestic Pyrenees wrap themselves around Roussillon and tumble into the Med, the lush countryside is quite simply carpeted with sun baked vineyards. If all that was not enough, the lovely Costa Brava of Spain is Roussillon's southern neighbour.

A two bedroom little house nestled in amongst the shade of a very pretty copse of mimosa in the park-style second garden of the Catalan farmhouse. The shade of the Mimosas means that you can look out onto the sun-baked garden but from a cool shady haven. The house has a lovely view out to the fruit trees of the garden with Fig, Plum, Almond & Pomegranit. There are also young date palms, bamboo, holliandai & a copse of magnificent poplars. The house also has stunning views out across the fields of the Jardin st.Jacques. The swimming pool of the farmhouse is just 50metres away across the lawns. The Garden house has a lounge/kitchen/diner plus 2 bedrooms, double or twin & a toilet & shower. The house is part of a quite lovely Catalan farmhouse set within a haven of conservation farmland on the edge of the colourful city of Perpignan. You can walk to the city but there is a restaurant, farm shop and vineyards in the conservation area. The med 10mins, Pyrenees 20mins, Spain 20mins.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Close to the cottage you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, golf, tennis, a sports center, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.
